Jubilee of Youth - Rome 2025 🇮🇹

Today the group attended morning Mass at Santa Maria Alle Fornaci before heading to St Peter’s Square. They then had a lovely tour of the EWTN Vatican News offices and studios as one of Fr Marc’s former students works there. There were some lovely views from the office terrace. They then made their way to some more churches nearby and had the opportunity to pray and see the relics of St. Monica and St Catherine of Sienna. The incorrupt body of Blessed Pierre Giorgio Frattsani was also displayed there in a coffin along with a relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis. The latter two will be declared Saints on the 7th September.

Jubilee of Youth - Rome 2025 🇮🇹

For the rest of today, the young pilgrims visited St Paul’s Basillica where they saw St Paul’s tomb and the marble pictures of all the Popes up to Pope Francis. Mary reports that it was such a beautiful place. They then climbed the Spanish steps up to Trinita Dei Monti where they are currently in the grounds enjoying a festival of worship and procession, in which relics of St Therese of Liseux have been processed through the crowds.
