We are very grateful to The Lepton Village Preservation Society who have volunteered to help tidy up the flower and shrub bed running along the south side of the church. This is part of their wider preparations for Lepton's Yorkshire in Bloom entry.

Thanks to the generosity of the congragation and friends of St John’s the sum of £564.62 was raised from the Lent Appeal and this is to be shared between Kirkwood Hospice and Forget Me Not Childrens Hospice.

We are excited to report the restoration process begins on Tuesday 7th April when Cumbria Clock Company Ltd rope access engineers remove the dial from the tower and then take it to their workshop near Penrith. Thank you again to anyone who donated to our fundraising appeal helping to make this possible. Look out for some photos of the dial being detached and lowered to ground level.
