St John the Baptist's Church is an Anglican church in Hove, part of the English city of Brighton and Hove. It was built between 1852 and 1854 to serve the community of the Brunswick area of Hove, which had originally been established in the 1830s.

Christmas Carol Service

Our Christmas Carol Service is on Sunday 17th December at 4pm.

All are welcome, and we will be serving mince pies and mulled wine afterwards, and drawing the raffle prizes.

Raffle tickets will be on sale at the service, and we have some great prizes this year including afternoon tea at The Ivy and a luxury hamper.

We look forward to seeing you!

Parish Lent Course

The Lent Course for 2023 will be led jointly by the Vicar and Rebekah Hanson. It will be held in church on Tuesday evenings, beginning on the 28th of February at 7.30pm.

We will look at interpreting the Bible and the women of Holy Week. Sessions will finish by 8.30pm.

We are delighted to announce that St John’s will be the venue for the YMCA to hold a Centenary Service on 12 November 2019 at 6pm to celebrate 100 years of the YMCA in Hove.

Bishop Martin, Bishop of Chichester will be in attendance. We look forward to seeing you there.
