RESTORATION PROJECT: several more visits were made to St Fillan’s last week by potential contractors to view and to offer us plans and costings for the works on Phase 3 - Main Church and extension/side chapel. Given the extent of this phase of works, estimated four months, it will be necessary to reschedule Masses and Services elsewhere during this phase of restoration works.

THANK YOU: last week’s Race Night raised the tremendous total sum of £1,930 - as agreed, 50% School/ 50% Parish. Thank you to the many, who supported, and even more, to those few (c.60) who attended what turned out to be an evening of much excitement, fun and camaraderie together. Noteworthy of special thanks is that small, but impressive group of school parents who with great imagination, effort and enthusiasm gave up so much of their time to make the evening such a success and happy occasion. Many thanks to you all for your continued generosity. AMcF

Another successful race night for St Fillans!
Many thanks again to the Peter Scarff Social Club for allowing us to use their great venue free of charge to boost our fundraising!

St. Fillan’s Church & St. Fillan’s Primary School collaborated to organise this amazing night! Thank you to the Parent Council and the Restoration Fundraising Group. Members of both groups give up so much of their own time to support both our lovely school and church ❤️

A massive thank you also to Andrew Dempster our bookie and Calum Brawley our compere, you both know how to host a great race night.

I am delighted to confirm we raised an amazing £1930!

This will be split between the church and school, providing St Fillan's pupils with opportunities and resources they would not have access to without the dedication and hard work of the Parent Council.

Thank you to everyone that attended last weeks event and to those who bought horses, jockeys and raffle tickets. A special thank you to all of our race sponsors and those local businesses who continue to support the St Fillans community:

- Biology & Beyond
- Robert Kerr Partnership
- The Kennedy Clan
- The Kitchen Depot
- The Fellowes Family
- Collins Tyres
- Tesco
- Peggy Changs
