✨ Polish, buff and shine at St Mary’s! ✨

Ever fancied a peek inside St Mary’s, East Rudham, or perhaps you’re one of our regular visitors? Either way, we’d love you to pop in!

On Saturday 7th November, from 10am until 12 noon, we’re having a good old-fashioned church clean, getting everything looking its best. There’ll be polishing, dusting, a bit of elbow grease, and (knowing us!) plenty of friendly chat along the way!

☕ Coffee, good company and a warm welcome are guaranteed.

You don’t need to be a regular churchgoer, a cleaning expert, or even able to stay for the whole two hours. Whether you can spare ten minutes, lend a hand, or simply pop in for a chat and see what we’re up to, you’ll be very welcome.

Our church is part of the life and story of our village, and this is a lovely opportunity to help care for it together. 💒

⛪ An extra hour in bed… and a wonderful reason to get up on Sunday!⏰

This Sunday, 25 October, why not join us for Holy Communion in one of our beautiful Norfolk village churches?

🙏 9.00am – St Martin's, Houghton-next-Harpley

🙏 10.30am – All Saints with St Andrew's, Tattersett

Both services follow the traditional Book of Common Prayer.

In Sunday's Gospel, we hear about a father who trusted Jesus before he could see any sign that his prayers had been answered. It leaves us with a question: do we need to see before we believe, or can we take that first step in faith?

☕ At Tattersett, one of Norfolk's most remote churches, refreshments will be served after the service. A lovely opportunity to enjoy a chat, explore this remarkable historic church and discover some of its fascinating history.

Whether you come to church regularly, haven't been for years, or are simply curious, you will be very welcome.

⏰ And remember, the clocks go BACK one hour tonight!

Come along, bring a friend, and discover the warmth and welcome of our village churches.

What a wonderful evening we enjoyed yesterday at Houghton Hall!

A magnificent setting, wonderful hospitality and a thoroughly entertaining performance by Richard Stirling, who brought the wit and fascinating life of Cecil Beaton to life.

Our heartfelt thanks to Lord Cholmondeley and his staff, to Richard Stirling, Hugh and Edwina Coghill, and to everyone who helped make the evening such a success in support of our village churches.

And a reminder that this evening, Friday, we gather for Evening Prayer at 5.00pm at St Mary's, East Rudham.

After the excitement of yesterday, perhaps an opportunity to enjoy a little stillness and quiet reflection as we bring the week to a close.

Everyone is very welcome. We would love to see you.

🐂 An ox in a china shop? What on earth has that got to do with St Luke?

Well, perhaps more than you might think!

This Sunday we celebrate the Feast of St Luke, the beloved physician and Gospel writer, whose traditional symbol is the ox.

But is it the patient ox, quietly carrying its burden, or the bull in a china shop, upsetting everything we have become comfortable with, that has something to teach us about following Jesus today?

Come and join us as we explore this together.

🙏 A little time for prayer, a little time for friendship

Why not join us this Friday at 5pm at St Mary’s, East Rudham, for a short time of Evening Prayer?

Our prayers are based on the Celtic tradition of the Northumbrian Community. Lasting around 10 minutes, they offer a gentle opportunity to pause, find a little peace, and bring the joys and concerns of our daily lives before God.

You don’t need to know what to do or say, and there’s no need to have any experience of prayer. Whether faith is an important part of your life, something you’re curious about, or you simply fancy a few quiet moments, you’ll be very welcome.

And if you have time afterwards, some of us head over to The Crown for a chat and a drink. You can buy drinks at the bar, and it’s a lovely opportunity to get to know one another a little better.

Ten minutes of prayer, followed by good company. What better way to end the week?

There’s a place for you at the table ❤️

This Sunday, we gather as one family of parishes at St Martin’s, South Raynham, at 10.30am for our Group Communion, and we’re delighted to welcome Bishop Peter Eagles to celebrate with us.

In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus tells a story about a great feast where the invitation is extended far beyond those first expected. It’s a lovely reminder that God’s invitation is for everyone, and that there is always room for one more.

Whether you worship with us regularly, belong to another parish, haven’t been to church for years, or are simply curious, you are warmly invited to join us. You don’t need to know what to expect or have all the answers. Just come as you are.

Gathering together is an opportunity to strengthen friendships across our eight parishes, encourage one another, and celebrate all that we share.

And if you already come to church, why not invite a friend, neighbour or family member to join you? Sometimes, a personal invitation is all it takes.

Many parishes, one family, one table — and a place for you.

What part of the vineyard has been entrusted to you?

This Sunday at 10.30am we gather at St Margaret’s Tatterford to hear Jesus’ story of a vineyard entrusted to others to care for.

It is a story that invites us to think about what has been placed in our care — our families, our communities, our churches, our relationships and the world around us. Are we tending these things well? Are we helping them to grow and flourish, and producing something good for others?

The New Testament reading offers another simple thought for the week: make room in our minds for what is true, good, noble and worthwhile — and then put those things into practice.

Why not come and join us at St Margaret’s this Sunday as we take a little time to reflect, worship and encourage one another?

Everyone is very welcome, whether you regularly come to church or have not been for some time.

There is a loop system, and refreshments will be served after the service, giving us a chance to stay, chat and enjoy each other’s company.

We would love to see you. 🙏

🌿 Evening Prayer – today at 5pm 🌿

Why not pause at the end of the day and join us for our short, gentle Evening Prayer at St Mary’s, East Rudham, today at 5pm.

A few quiet moments to put aside the busyness of the week, to pray, reflect and simply be still in the presence of God.

Everyone is very welcome — whether you come to church regularly, occasionally, or have never been before.

And afterwards, some of us wander over to The Crown for a drink and a chat. 🍻

We’d love to see you. 🙏
