Everyone has an opinion… but what does God say?

We hear so many different voices every day. From politicians and commentators to the people around us, everyone has something to say.

But amongst all those voices, are we taking the time to listen to what God has to say?

🎶 NIGHT OF THE CHOIRS – SOLD OUT! 🎶

Wow! What an incredible response we've had to our Night of the Choirs event this Friday!

We're delighted that so many people are looking forward to joining us as Bethany Gospel Voices and two other local choirs come together for a fantastic evening of music!

However, we have now reached full capacity, and unfortunately, we cannot accommodate any more people.

We know we previously mentioned that people could simply turn up on the night without booking, but due to the overwhelming response, admission will now be strictly ticket only.

🚨 If you haven't already booked a ticket, please don't turn up on the night, as we won't be able to admit anyone without one.🚨

We're sorry for any disappointment this may cause, but we need to make sure everyone can enjoy the evening safely.

Thank you so much for your incredible support. We're really looking forward to welcoming everyone who has booked for what promises to be a brilliant evening! 🎵

Good morning! Come and join us for a morning of worship. Go to our YouTube channel using the link below as we begin a new sermon series called “Prophetic Voices: Malachi ”.

How many times have you tried to turn over a new leaf, only to find that yet again it hasn’t worked? Old habits die hard. In the last book of the Bible, God’s people have come through a terrible punishment designed to correct their behaviour, and they have recommitted themselves to him. But they soon slip into their old ways, living for themselves and not for God. A different kind of intervention is needed from God.

The book of Malachi shows us what happens when we make religion just a routine.

The prophet spoke words of warning meant to call people back to sincere worship and obedience. This series reiterates God’s promise that He will one day send us a messenger to personally confront evil, restore his people, and bring his healing justice.

🎆 FIREWORKS CAFÉ – MONDAY 5TH OCTOBER 🎆

If you’re heading out to enjoy the Houghton Feast fireworks, why not come and join us at Bethany Church beforehand?

We’ll be opening the doors at 6:15pm, with plenty going on for all the family:

• FREE homemade soup & roll
• Hotdogs for the kids
• FREE parking
• Live choir in the car park
• A great view of the fireworks from Bethany

We start serving the homemade soup at 6:30pm, so come along, grab something warm to eat, enjoy the atmosphere and then watch the fireworks with us in the carpark or head out to Durham road! 🎇

What a brilliant time we had at the Houghton Feast Parade! 🎉

The weather was lovely, and it was fantastic to see so many people out enjoying the parade and cheering everyone on. We loved being part of it and sharing plenty of smiles and waves along the way! 👋💛

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped let everyone know we are HERE FOR HOUGHTON!

🎉 HOUGHTON FEAST PARADE 🎉

👋 We’ll be walking the parade this year, but we still want the same big smiles, enthusiasm and plenty of waves as we warmly greet the people of Houghton, and celebrate the feast together!

If you are joining us for the parade, there are two options for meeting up:

📍 Meet at Bethany
Park in Bethany’s car park and we’ll walk over together, leaving at around 12:30pm.

📍 Meet us there
Head straight to the car park behind Houghton Library (Station Road car park, DH4 5HB). Meet us between 1pm and 1:30pm, ready for the parade to start at 2pm.

👕 Please wear your Bethany “Here for Houghton” T-shirt, or any Bethany ministry T-shirt you have, like Toddlers, Bethany Kids, Easter Club, etc.

Looking forward to being part of it together! 💛
