Farm Walk & Roast Sunday Lunch
We are again holding our Farm Walk and Sunday Lunch Event here at Mareham On The Hill. This is again in aid of the Restoration Fund, our ongoing project is soffits, bargeboards, rainwater goods along with woodwork that may need attention !.
Meeting up 10-30am Mareham Grange Farmyard, Mareham On The Hill LN9 6PQ. What three words “Retiring Panel Aimed”
The walk will meet adjacent to the Victorian “Turnor” yard and the walk will be a gently two and a half miles through woods, grassland and arable crop..
The emphasis this year is Farm Woodland and how they can contribute to Agricultural Landscape. We are pleased this year to have Andy Reynolds of the Ecolodge who has great experience and available to answer any questions.
ast walks have focused on the history, geology, farming objectives, stewardship and Sustainable Farming Incentives, improvements to Thunker Beck through The Lincolnshire Chalk Stream Trust, and creating habitats for native birds such as English Partridges and Lincolnshire Plovers.
Dogs on leads welcome on the walk.
As in previous years we will finish at Fairview at around 1pm where a superb full roast dinner will be served to include British Roast Pork and Topside of Beef. Please bring your own alcohol.
The places at the Sunday lunch are limited to around 30 persons at a cost of £30 per person. The roast lunch will consist of full Sunday. lunch filled by a vast selection of home made desserts followed by cheese & biscuits for those who wish to partake. You wont leave Mareham On The Hill, hungry!

Sunday Lunch is £30 to. include. the farm walk if you wish places limited at approx 30 places. The farm walk alone is £5 per person and spaces are unlimited.
This event is a great friendly gathering everyone is welcome, locals, visitors in fact anyone.
