📢 Are You a Member of a Black Faith Community? We Want to Hear From You!

We are looking for participants to take part in an important research study exploring mental health stigma and help-seeking within Black faith communities.

Mental health affects us all, yet many people in our communities face unique challenges in seeking support. This study aims to understand those experiences and explore how faith-integrated care can help bridge the gap between faith and mental health services.

Who Can Participate?

You may be eligible to take part if you:

Are aged 18 or over

Identify as Black/African/African-Caribbean

Attend or identify with a Christian faith community

Willing to discuss views and experiences relating to mental health and help-seeking

What Does Participation Involve?

Taking part in a confidential one-to-one online interview via Microsoft Teams.

Approximately 30–60 minutes in duration

Your responses will remain strictly confidential and will only be used for research purposes, and participants may withdraw at any time without providing a reason.

Why Does This Matter?

Your voice will help enhance the understanding of mental health in Black faith communities and guide culturally responsive approaches to mental health and accessing services. Together, we can break the stigma and create better pathways to healing.

Thanksgiving Sunday | 03.05.2026
Hebrews 12:28

Grace means gratitude. When you understand grace, you stop relying on yourself and start giving thanks to God.

Thanksgiving is not optional—it’s a command (Colossians 3:15–17).
Be filled with the Spirit, and you will continually give thanks (Ephesians 5:18).

No matter the season, rejoice always (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18).
What you’re going through is temporary—God is still working.

Don’t be anxious (Philippians 4:6).
Pray, give thanks, and trust God.

Thanksgiving unlocks access to God (Psalm 100:4–5).
Praise first… then your requests.

Topic: MOVE FORWARD

Text: Exodus 14:8–16

Sometimes, you feel trapped — the past behind you, obstacles before you, and fear within you. But God’s instruction is clear: MOVE FORWARD.

Moses trusted what God said, and that trust led to obedience. Before the miracle came, there was a command — go forward.

✨ Stop crying, start trusting God
✨ Leave the past behind and focus ahead
✨ Faith moves before the miracle (2 Corinthians 5:7)

If the Israelites had refused to move, the sea wouldn’t part. Their obedience activated God’s power.

Your past cannot follow you into your future (Exodus 14:28).

Failure is not the end — it’s a stepping stone.
When you move, your enemies lose power (James 4:7).

No matter what is chasing you — fear, sin, pressure, or your past —
JUST MOVE FORWARD.

When you move, you experience God personally (Exodus 14:31).

➡️ Forward is the only direction God gives (Isaiah 43:18-19)
