If you haven’t experienced Walsingham yet, look out for an opportunity! As a parish we go to the National Pilgrimage, Children’s Pilgrimage and Youth Pilgrimage, and make our own pilgrimage to this holy place each year. May Our Lady of Walsingham pray for us, and for the conversion of England.

Congratulations to St Stephen's House on the sesquicentennial celebration of the founding of the college. Ad multos annos!

In one month’s time we celebrate our patronal festival. Plans for the whole weekend, which includes our Festival of Church Music, have already been published, but of great importance is the Patronal Festival Mass at 10.30am on the Sunday morning. For the Mass we welcome Fr Timothy Newton as our guest preacher. Mass will be followed by a bring and share lunch - drinks provided. St Peter’s Day is a Holy Day of Obligation.

Next Sunday at St Peter’s and St John’s is Corpus Christi, when we celebrate the great gift to the Church of the Lord’s Precious Body and Blood. The 9am Mass at St John’s will conclude with Benediction, and the 10.30am Mass at St Peter’s with a Procession of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction. Evensong and Benediction follow at 5pm. Be sure to join us for this most joyous feast!

A delight to join in with pilgrims from across the country at the National Pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham (Anglican). Thank you to all who came along on what was a very hot day!

The Chapter of the Resurrection met today at Wakefield Cathedral to hear the Dean’s vision for the cathedral. We were very grateful for the opportunity to hear from and speak to the Dean, and assure him and all the clergy and staff of our three diocesan cathedrals of our prayers.
