Our choirs are back! After a well-deserved summer break, we were thrilled to return to our Choristers back to church to resume our pattern of rehearsals and 5 choral services per week.

This is also the perfect time to join our choirs! We are very much looking forward to welcoming a group of new singers next week - but there's always more space! If you, or your child, would like to explore singing in our choirs, don't hesitate to get in touch with Leonard at [email protected] - we'd love to hear from you!

We can now bring you the full line up for this year's Heritage Day on Saturday 3rd October.

Everything on the day is FREE of charge - just turn up, no advance booking required.

Horbury Heritage Day is brought to you by a small group of Horbury Civic Society volunteers, who in turn would like to thank all the venues and participants for giving their time to make this a successful event.

Our toddler groups begin again this week. We look forward to seeing everyone back and also seeing some new faces. No need to book.

Every month, on the first Sunday, our Servers’ Guild meets to practise their serving. This gives us an opportunity to fine tune our serving skills, and to encourage new servers into more advanced roles in the liturgy. Our Guild is dedicated to St Tarcisius and some members are looking forward to visiting Rome next year on pilgrimage where Tarcisius was martyred and originally buried. May St Tarcisius pray for us and for all altar servers!

O God, you have graciously called me
to serve you upon your altar.
Grant me the graces that I need
to serve you faithfully and wholeheartedly.
Grant too that while serving you,
I may follow the example of St Tarcisius,
who died protecting the Eucharist,
and walk the same path that led him to heaven.
