A fond farewell…

On Sunday last week, Pentecost Sunday, some of our island parishioners attended Mass in the Parish Church of Our Lady & St James, Bangor; part of our Diocese of Wrexham.

During this Mass they celebrated the end of an era with Bishop Peter. The closing of the site of Our Lady’s School Bangor, in preparation for their move to a new school.

After Mass the school was open for visitors with old photographs dating as far back as 1930!

This brought back fond memories from one of our island parishioners who attended the school as a child from 1944 to 1956

A massive thank you to the crew at Morlo Men’s Shed for an absolutely fantastic job building raised beds for outside our Church in Holyhead! We can’t wait to get them in use!

This morning we celebrated all the gifts of our community with a procession of symbols of our roles. It was a great celebration of all our gifts of the Spirit.
