Leave the car at home and join us for FREE bus journeys on all Stotts HV & 335 services on 13th June 2026 - To celebrate Holmfirth Arts Festival weekend, Stotts Buses are providing free rides to and from Holmfirth!

This special offer is available on Stotts H1 to H7 services and the 335 service to and from Holmfirth on Saturday 13th June 2026 only. No ticket required.

HVPC Planning Applications Sub- Committee 3rd June 2026 7pm

Below is a link to the list of planning applications being considered by the Parish Council's Planning Committee on Wednesday of next week.
If local people want to comment on any of the applications through the Parish Council, they can:

1) email the Assistant Clerk with a report before 2pm Wednesday 3rd June 2026 and we'll read it out.
2) attend the meeting via zoom and comment in the public session at the start of the meeting.

At the Annual Council meeting of Holme Valley Parish Council on 18 May 2026 Cllr Steve Ransby (Ward Councillor for Wooldale) was elected Chair and Cllr Mary Blacka (Ward Councillor for Holmfirth Central) was elected Vice Chair for the 2026-27 Council Year.

The Annual Council meeting is where the Parish Council sets out the year ahead by electing the Council Chair, and Vice Chair along with Committee memberships and Chairs.

On accepting the role of HVPC Chair Cllr Ransby said he would do his utmost to justify the Parish Council’s faith in him.

Other appointments during the evening were:

Cllr Jenny Holmes, Chair of the Finance and Management Committee.

Cllr Donna Bellamy, Chair of the Planning Committee.

Cllr Alison Morgan, Chair of the Service Provision Committee.

Cllr Glenn Kirkby, Chair of the Staffing Committee
