St Luke's Church, Holmes Chapel

St Luke's Church, Holmes Chapel News and events from Holmes Chapel's Parish Church of St Luke, which was founded in 1430. Come to Christ, Love to Learn, Learn to Love!

St Luke's is the Parish Church of the large East Cheshire village of Holmes Chapel (current population around 6,000). The imposing stone building dates from around 1430 and is located in the village square at the junction of the A50 and A535 about 1 mile from J18 of the M6 motorway. In Church of England ecclesiastical terms, the parish is strictly referred to as Church Hulme. That name was also used for the village until the end of the 19th century when the name Holmes Chapel became adopted.

Next Thursday, 21st May, we will be holding our annual Walk to School event which aims to highlight the issues faced by pedestrians when navigating our narrow pavements and busy roads.

Please join us on either route - they both go to each Primary School.
