Welcome to those who have viewed the Hawkwell Parish Church page for the first time recently.

We thought it might help to know a little bit more about us.

Hawkwell Parish Church is made up of 2 churches: St Mary's by the railway bridge in Hawkwell (an old historical church which has services at 9.15am on a sunday)

The other is Emmanuel Church (near the white hart pub and village green. Meets at 11am sundays and has sunday school groups)

Im Nick the Rector. I have been at Hawkwell Parish Church since July 2018. I am married and have four school age children.

I would love to welcome you to any of the services we are holding this Easter.

URGENT.....If coming to the light party...the front door and path are now....OPEN

Dear All,

Good Evening, we look forward to seeing you and your children at our Light Party tonight at 4pm.

In view of the Cadent gas main work going on outside the premises we wanted to email out to let you know we are still proceeding with the party!

As they have had to dig up our main path, and they cannot guarantee that it will be back to normal tomorrow in time, it will very probably be necessary to enter via the carpark at the rear of our Church. For safety reason we therefore are not keen, unless disabled, for people to use the car park for parking. Please walk if you can or park in the surrounding streets.

We will endeavour to have people directing you from the Car Park to the side entrance. This also means that the Gas Central Heating will not be available however we have blow electric heaters that wil be on all day warming the place up and with 50 children and adult carers and helpers there will be enough body warmth!!

The party will finish with the normal disco for the last 15 minutes or so. There will be, as mentioned on the form, flashing/strobe lights so we need you to be aware of this. If a child has any issues in this regard please feel free to leave before the disco and still collect your goody bag!
