St Mary's Church, Pirton We are a lively, welcoming Church in the beautiful village of Pirton, near Hitchin. We also host 'messy Church' activities for kids and so much more!

Services take place every week, normally on a Sunday at 11.00, and everyone is welcome.

St. Mary’s Church would like to invite you to an exhibition of the local history surrounding St. Mary’s Church. Covering the medieval period up to the present day, there will be a display of the curated artifacts in our care. There will be a chance to view much of Maria Pollard’s Edwardian wood carving, the church’s historic silver and brassware, and our collection of liturgical vestments and other textiles. Alongside this will be a chance to rediscover more recent history, with banners and standards from the Mothers’ Union and the Royal British Legion, as well as a selection of cross stitched kneelers, many stitched by familiar faces still in the village today!

Opening night ticketed event with a short talk about St Mary’s Church in the medieval period with local historian Jon Mein, music from Heather Fuller, and a Q&A with Rev’d. Mary de Salis. Complimentary nibbles and a glass of fizz will be provided.
