Hinckley Unitarians

Hinckley Unitarians At Hinckley morning services are held every Sunday at 11am, following the pattern of hymns, prayers, The congregation dates back to 1662 when Rev.

The chapel itself is a registered "Historic Building Grade II". Thomas Leadbeter was 'ejected' from the local parish church under the Act of Uniformity for failing to use the Anglican Book of Common Prayer. Services were held illegally until 1672 when "toleration" allowed a private house to be registered for worship

While we won't be able to have our stall at Hollycroft Park this year, loads of us from Hinckley Unitarians will still be at Electric Chapel throughout the day! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

🌈 IMPORTANT UPDATE: HINCKLEY PRIDE 2026 🌈

Due to the forecast risk of thunderstorms and lightning, and the associated safety concerns for everyone involved, the Hinckley Pride Committee has made the difficult decision that tomorrow’s Pride event at Hollycroft Park will not go ahead as planned.

But Hinckley Pride will still go ahead in a different form! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Thanks to the incredible support of Electric Chapel, we’re moving Pride indoors and bringing our community together in the heart of Hinckley.

📍 Electric Chapel, Hinckley
🕛 Doors open from 12 noon
🎶 DJ, live performers, activities, speeches and more throughout the afternoon
🌙 Followed by the already-planned Pride After Dark from 6.30pm!

We are enormously grateful to every vendor, performer, volunteer, local business, supporter and member of our community who has put so much into this year’s Pride. We’re particularly grateful to Electric Chapel for stepping in and helping us make sure that, despite the weather, Pride still has a home in Hinckley tomorrow.

Everyone is welcome from 12 noon. 🌈

⚠️ Please be aware that Electric Chapel is a licensed venue. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult and may attend the daytime Pride event between 12pm and 6pm only. Pride After Dark from 6.30pm is subject to the venue’s usual age and entry requirements.

We know how important it is for our community to have a space to come together, celebrate who we are and stand together in solidarity.

It might look a little different from the Pride we planned — but Hinckley Pride is going ahead, and we cannot wait to welcome you. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

See you tomorrow!
