THE HINCKLEY & BOSWORTH TOY APPEAL HAS NOW LAUNCHED!
We at The Salvation Army are honoured to work in partnership with the Leicestershire County Council's Family Health Service, the Hinckley Area Foodbank and numerous other supporters.
Through this appeal last year we supported 1,174 children from 544 families with toys, other goodies and food vouchers with the aim of helping families make Christmas Day just that little bit more festive.
In her speech at the launch, Team and Partnership Manager Morrison-Cooper said, These results were nothing short of amazing. They are testament to the power of partnership - of services and people coming together with a shared purpose: to support our community, to help it thrive, and to ensure every child has the chance to experience the magic of Christmas."
So, the partnership continues for another year, and we invite all who are able and willing to join in with us. You will see numerous TOY APPEAL bins around the town, in family centres, in shops and supermarkets, all ready to receive new unwrapped gifts for children and teenagers. We are happy to receive your gifts too at both The Salvation Army Church in Lancaster Road and our Donation Centre in Rainbow Way (off Rugby Road)
Of course, if you are a family in need of support, you can apply for help via schools, social workers, family centres, foodbanks, or direct to us at The Salvation Army. Please don't be afraid to ask!
For those who are able to help, thank you and God bless you in your giving.
