This Sunday we're celebrating the church's birthday! Did you know that SMG was dedicated and opened for public worship 88 years ago?
As part of our worship this Sunday we'll be holding a Gift Day to raise money for the "Big Church Refresh" - our project to renovate and restore the interior of our building including re-carpeting and redecorating.

As the new term begins we're launching "Part 2" of our series on The Sermon on the Mount this coming Sunday, exploring the teaching of Jesus on topics as wide ranging as prayer, money, anxiety, judgement and truth. It's going to be great!

This coming Sunday we're gathering for one joint worship service at 10.30am. We'll be worshipping together as all ages, and sharing Communion together as a church family. Stick around after the service for a picnic - bring a picnic lunch for you and your household and a blanket or chair (we'll have some spares!) If the weather doesn't play ball, we'll still go ahead but just move indoors! Have a great Bank Holiday weekend!

Work on our new accessible toilet is now underway!
After many years of planning and fundraising we're looking forward to these new facilities being completed and ready by mid-September.

As Project Leader and former Church Warden Paul Butcher says:
"This project is about much more than installing a toilet. It is part of our wider vision to ensure everyone can fully participate in the life of the church, regardless of age or ability.
As our congregation has grown, particularly among children and young families, we've recognised the need to remove practical barriers that can prevent people from feeling welcome. These improvements will help us expand our work with schools, families, people with additional needs and older members of our community, creating a church that is more accessible, inclusive and able to serve our parish for generations to come."

A High Wycombe church has received £25,000 to make its facilities accessible to everyone.
