WISE, is a registered charity which was established in 1991 to provide beneficial Islamic knowledge and services to the local community. It is based in High Wycombe, a small town centrally located between two major cities, London and Oxford. High Wycombe itself has a population of around 92,000 of which Muslims constitute approximately 11,000.

Alhamdulillah, over 100 sisters attended and benefited from inspiring and engaging lectures this Dhul Hijjah by Ustadha Wajiha, Ustadha Sajidah and Ustadha Fatima.

The day was filled with beneficial reminders, reflection, sisterhood and learning. We also enjoyed delicious biryani, tea and freshly made cakes together. โ˜•๐Ÿฐ

Jazakum Allahu khayran to everyone who attended and supported the event. We pray this is the first of many beneficial gatherings to come, inshaโ€™Allah.

TAKBฤชRS of Dhu'l- Hijja:
It is Sunnah to say the takbฤซr during the first ten days of Dhลซโ€™l-แธคijjah and the days of Tashrฤซq (i.e. until sunset of the 13th), and to say it loudly in the Masjid, the home, the street and every place where it is permitted to remember Allฤh. Ibn สฟUmar and Abลซ Hurayrah would go to the marketplace and recite the takbฤซr loudly and the people would then recite it when they heard them.

Men should recite these phrases out loud, and women should recite them quietly.

There is leeway in form that this takbฤซr may take as stated by Imฤm Aแธฅmad and others, the above are two examples reported from the salaf.
