🎒🙏 Putting God First

As our children and young people prepare to return to school this week, here’s a simple reminder for all of us: put God first in everything we do.

Before the busy days, new challenges, friendships and opportunities begin, let’s encourage our children and young people to start each day with God, seeking His wisdom, trusting His guidance and remembering that He goes with them wherever they go.

What a joyful all-age service we shared today!

There was plenty of laughter, teamwork and a little friendly competition as children and young people battled it out with adults in our quiz challenge… and, of course, the children and youths took the win! 🏆

Our message from Joshua 1:1–9 left us with three powerful truths to carry into the week:

🙏 God goes with us
🙏 God will guide us
🙏 God will be with us

As schools prepare to reopen this week, our prayer time focused especially on children, youth and teachers asking God to give them courage, wisdom, protection and peace for the new school year. 📚

Whatever this new week brings, we don't face it alone. God goes with us!

Meet the Family: From Zimbabwe to High Wycombe 🇿🇼🇬🇧

This month, we’re delighted to introduce Narboth, Lilian, Divine, Danika and Donnel. A wonderful family who moved from Chinyika, Zimbabwe, to High Wycombe three years ago.

Rooted deeply in their faith, they value family, fellowship and sharing the hope of Christ. They’ve found joy in seeing their children grow in confidence and excitement about coming to church, while continuing to treasure their Zimbabwean heritage through family, food and lively African worship.

From Divine’s passion for cars and engineering, to Danika’s love of books and Donnel’s Spider-Man adventures, each brings something special to our Corps family!

Their words describing High Wycombe Corps say it beautifully: Fellowship • Welcoming • Diverse.

Let’s continue to make our Corps a place where everyone feels they belong, whether they’ve lived here all their lives or travelled thousands of miles to call High Wycombe home.

Six Weeks of Growing in Faith

Today we concluded our six-week sermon series, reflecting on 1 Timothy 4:12–16 and what it means to be confident and an example in faith, love, speech, conduct and purity.

We also spent time in prayer, lifting up the people we want to pray for, our country’s leaders, and nations around the world in need of prayer. 🌍

We were also blessed by our children with an action-packed performance of “Jesus, You’re My Superhero!” A joyful reminder that perfectly connected with today’s message!

I Speak Jesus | Isaac singing!

Isaac was once a young lad who would shy away from singing. It’s such a joy to see him confidently using his voice to praise and glorify God. 🙏

Week four of our series took us to Martha — “Distracted but Loved” (Luke 10:38–42). A powerful reminder that even when life gets busy and distracting, we are still deeply loved by Jesus.

We also had a hilarious and amazing Q&A with Isaac! He passionately encouraged our young people to sign up for the next camp and even finished the Q&A with some beautiful singing! 🎶
