Managed to catch a photo of our lovely pineapple tree in full bloom. It's scent is wonderful. We almost lost the tree a couple of years ago as it fell over! Fortunately help was at hand to restore it and it is now making the most of the space vacated by a large spruce which was felled last summer.

The end of a visit by our Bishop Visitor of 5 years, Bp. Humphrey Southern was marked this morning by the presentation to him of an icon written by Sr. Theresa Margaret CHN. We are very grateful for all that he has given to us and delighted that he will continue to visit us in a pastoral / facilitator capacity.

At the Eucharist today, it was lovely to admit Nigel and Mary Fry as members of the Fellowship of the Holy Name. They have been staying in the Lodge this week and have brought lovely weather with them!

Today we celebrated with Sr Julie Elizabeth the 25th Anniversary of her taking Life Vows. The Eucharist was celebrated by a priest-friend Fr. Jack Noble and we were joined by friends and neighbours Mike and Kath Reed. The weather enabled us to take this photo outside in the sun.

We rejoice today with our Sister Itumeleng who made her Life Vows this morning with the Sisters in CHN Lesotho. We look forward to welcoming her and also Sister Bongile of CHN Zululand to Hessle in a couple of months time.
