To top off today’s exhausting trip to London, a team of five went out on patrol in Hertford last night. It was pretty quiet again which was unsurprising bearing in mind the persistent downpours last night. Despite this the doormen were all out on duty. Saturday was a busy day too with an early start for three of us, travelling to St Mark’s Church, Oval, London for the Ascension Trust Prayer Gathering. There were a number of interesting speakers and opportunities to pray with Street, Prayer, Rail and School Pastors from London and the Home Counties ( plus a few from further away).

Good Friday Walk of Witness in Hertford town centre.

Good Friday morning saw about eighty to a hundred people take part in this. It was organised by Hertford Churches Together with many local churches joining in. Hertford and Ware Street Pastors were also represented. As we walked, we handed out free hot cross buns to people in the town. A big ‘Thank You’ to our local Tesco store who provided some of their Finest buns.

Another post for those in and around our area. Below is a poster for the forthcoming Riding Lights production of ‘The Narrow Road … on the Journey to Easter’ at Hertford URC on Cowbridge, Hertford. This is the church that kindly lets us use their premises as our Hertford base when we are on patrol on Friday and Saturday nights. We would love to see some of you at the performance. Saturday night proved to be pretty quiet which was most likely due to the chilly weather. Our Prayer Pastor, Tim, prayed and then read Psalm 91. The team of three were each treated to a small paper angel bearing verse 11 of this psalm, wonderfully crafted by Kate, Tim’s wife. Thank you Kate. ❤️

Here are a couple of photographs of two guys who were out enjoying themselves in Hertford last night. They both recalled receiving help from Street Pastors in years gone by. Thanks for sharing with us. ❤️

Some of the team are going out tonight at around 10pm. It is pretty cold this evening so we have no idea how busy the town will be. Please pray for their safety and the safety of all those out enjoying themselves. 🙏
