Today we give thanks for those in Russia who are bravely standing against war. Nearly 2000 Russians have been detained for protesting against the invasion of Ukraine. God, we honour the immense courage these people have shown in speaking out. We pray for their safety and release, and that their protest would not be in vain.

Every day, we're encouraging you to lift up your eyes and pray for others around the world as part of .

My July letter focuses on the first lines of W.H Davies poem 'What is life if full of care, we have no time to stop and stare'. We'd miss out on seeing these in the garden. I thank God for the beauty and wonder of his creation.

Today is Holy Saturday, our day of waiting. We add herbs and spices to our display. They remind us of the women's preparation for Jesus' body. In their grief, they prepared to be able to show their last act of kindness for the One they loved so deeply. Yet even in their grief and waiting God was preparing too; preparing to reveal the accomplishment of his love. That is for us tomorrow. Today, today we wait.

Just taken part in the online service at St Albans Cathedral for Good Friday. It was really lovely for such an important day.
Look on YouTube or Facebook to find other services over the Easter weekend.
God bless.

Today is Good Friday. We add to our teardrops thorns, nails and purple cloth. Today we remember the immense pain and cost of Jesus love for us all. We remember the words of John 3:16 'For God loved the world so much that he gave us his only Son.' That includes you as well as me.
