We are a church family, at the heart of our community, serving, praying and reflecting the light of Jesus

Sundays:
8 am Holy Communion
9 am Breakfast Praise in church. A short, fun and interactive service, in church for young families followed by
refreshments.
10.15 am Our term-time, God and Friends (GAF) group for primary school aged children meet in the Women’s
Institute Hall to get to know God and each other while having fun! Games, craft, time to reflect on how

our Christian faith affects our lives.
10:30 am All Age Communion (First Sunday in the month)
10:30 am Parish Communion (Other Sundays)

First Thursday
11 am Holy Communion followed by coffee and biscuits

☀️As the warm weather continues, everyone is welcome to join us this Sunday for our regular services. The church will be a calm, cool space to gather, reflect, and worship together. 🙏💛⛪

⛪ This week, instead of a traditional sermon, we’ll be taking time to look closely at the Communion service itself. Have you ever wondered what actually happens during Communion, or what all the words, gestures, robes and altar preparations really mean? 🤔✨
💡We’ll be exploring each part of the service: what we do, why we do it, where it comes from, and the meaning behind the actions & symbols we use. The aim is to help us all understand and appreciate Communion at a deeper level. 🍞🍷
💛Do come along and join us, you’ll be very welcome. 💒😊

☀️🌿 It looks like beautiful weather will arrive in time for the Bank Holiday weekend, and we have lots happening at St Peter’s! 🎉⛪

🥐☕ Women’s Breakfast: Saturday, 9am–11am(ish). Come along to the Church Hall for croissants, yoghurt, coffee, chats & friendship 💛This is always such a warm and welcoming morning, so do invite other ladies in our community to join😊

⛪✨ Sunday Services: We’d love to welcome you at one of our Sunday services this weekend.
📌 Please note: there is no God and Friends this week due to half term, but it resumes next week.

🔥🪁🌬️ Church in the Churchyard – Sunday at 4pm. Join us on Vauxmead (the field opposite the church) for a fun intergenerational Pentecost celebration! We’ll be making kites 🪁 and toasting marshmallows 🔥 as we celebrate the fire & wind of the Holy Spirit together ❤️🕊️

🌺✨ War Graves Week at St. Peter’s, Hersham ✨🌺
Join us on Saturday 23rd May at 2pm in our churchyard, for our Commonwealth War Graves Commission Tour: a special opportunity to remember, reflect & discover the stories of those commemorated in our churchyard. 🇬🇧🕊️

🌹Following the tour, St. Peter’s Church will be open from 🕑 2.45pm–4pm for visitors to look around, enjoy ☕ tea & coffee, and spend time at our WWI Memorial - a touching tribute to those associated with the parish of Hersham, who gave their lives in WWI. ❤️

Starting in the Churchyard, we'll take a short walk to a local pond for some pond dipping fun, then head back for refreshments☕. Whether you're 5 or 95, this one's for you! 🦋🌸

❤️Our prayer tree, created with Year 1 at Bell Farm, paid us a visit this morning as the children came to explore & discover what we do here at St Peter’s. It was a joy to welcome such curious minds and share how prayer, listening & community are at the heart of our church ❤️🙏
