Ascension Day
Also Thy Kingdom Come

Between Ascension and Pentecost, there are ten days of waiting. The first disciples spent them together, praying, watching, holding on to the promise. This year we’re inviting you to do the same.

A Woven People is our devotional booklet for these holy days: a short reading and a prayer for each morning, drawing on the psalms and the story of those first disciples. Pray it on your own and you’ll keep good company. Pray it alongside the rest of us and we’ll find ourselves woven together, a people waiting on the Spirit.

We begin tomorrow, Ascension Day (14 May), and carry through to Pentecost on 24 May.

Today, our Diocesan President, Chaplain and VP joined Cusop members and friends when Janet Bumford was remembered. Janet was a well loved Trustee, Branch Leader of Cusop and organised other community gatherings.
Our Chaplain led prayers and unveiled a plaque in Janet's memory. Janet was a Gardener so it was fitting that a tree was planted in her honour.

Another 10k for 150 years!

Worldwide President Kathleen Snow has completed her sixth 10k run as part of her 150th anniversary challenge, this time along the beautiful Mumbles Way in Swansea and Brecon Diocese. After attending a Thanksgiving Eucharist at Swansea Minster, Kathleen laced up her running shoes and set off, finishing strong by carrying a diocesan MU torch across the line.

A wonderful show of dedication, faith, and celebration. Well done, Kathleen!
