Our services for Sunday 23rd August

8am Communion service
10am Communion Service
4pm Communion Service

In past years we have had all ages services throughout the summer. This year, we will continue to have Sunday sermons for adults, learning together from the book of Proverbs.

The Beacons age group will stay in the services, with an activity sheet. During the readings and talk there will be space at the back of church for 0-2s, and an altogether group for 2-10s in the Parish Room.

No kids’ tea is served after the 4pm services but please feel free to bring a packed tea for your children so you can stick around after the service.

We have launched an exciting Room for Growth project
In brief, the Room for Growth plans have been developed around three core priorities:

A warm welcome (new welcome lobby, new heating, new accessible toilets)
Sufficient spaces (new breakout rooms and a revamped preschool/babies room)
Well-resourced worship (new AV and lighting system)

They will create room for growth – the growth we are already experiencing, and the growth that these plans will further enable.

This month we welcome Richard Crane as our new curate. Here he is pictured with his wife after his ordination at Christ Church cathedral, Oxford.

Richard has sent us this message as he begins his time with us.

Our mission partners, the Clarks, are involved in this summer camp. Please pray for the kid's holiday camp they are running this week.

Please pray for "L’Académie des Héros”, the kids’ holiday club that our mission partners in Louvain-la-Neuve are running this week!

Like last year, the church, Eglise Protestante Evangélique de Louvain-la-Neuve, is using translated FaithinKids material.

Amazingly, Cranleigh Baptist Church has sent a keen group of teenagers to help run the activities and games. They arrived earlier this week and are such an encouragement to the Clarks and Bellises who are long-term in Belgium.

Please pray that through the holiday club, the church makes new and lasting connections with families in the town.

We can’t wait to hear how it goes!
