I’ve had the joy and privilege of being a part of this wonderful group of people for nearly 9 years now. Please pray that we have another productive 48hrs together - as well as get some rest!

As we approach the end of the Summer holiday period and start to move into the next part of the year...if you haven't been thinking about a retreat, now is the time for us to encourage you to give some thought to coming along to one of our remaining retreats.

We are thrilled to have Amy Boucher Pye leading a retreat here once again. More information about the retreat, Beloved of God – Exploring our Christian Identity – with Amy Boucher Pye (18-20 September), can be found by clicking on this link.

Amy is a London-based writer, speaker, and spiritual director. She has written six books, including 'Transforming Love' and 'Holding onto Hope'.

We are also so pleased to welcome Voysey to St Katharine's Parmoor, where he will lead his retreat Making Church Leaders’ Friendships Flourish – a retreat with Sheridan Voysey. A unique retreat for leaders at all levels.

Further to my post of the 3rd July, the trustees have placed an advert in the Church Times, on our website as well as The Retreat Association and shortly, the Association for Promoting Retreats, advertising for a Retreat House Manager to 'take hold of the baton' when I leave at the end of September.

After 7 and a half years, it is now time for me to pass the baton on to 'new blood'.

On Monday of this last week I handed in my notice advising the trustees that my last day here will be the 30th September.

I have been blessed, and privileged, to have been the Director here to see the House recover from such a precarious place.

But the time is now right for a new adventure.

There will be an advert coming out in the next few days, which I will post on this page, as well as on our website and other social media streams.

Please pray for the house and the remaining staff, for the right person to be prompted to apply and for the trustees as they work through this process.

Other exiting news for retreat house managers/wardens is that Bishop Adam has agreed to become the President of Archway (I am also a committee member of this group) - Archway is there for all those running retreat houses for peer support and promotion of retreats.
We welcome Bishop Adam on board and look forward to all he is able to add and bring to Archway and its members.

We are delighted to announce that The Rt Revd Adam Atkinson, Bishop of Bradwell has agreed to be the new President of Archway.
