Quakers stand against all plotters and fighters

Quaker UN Offices in Geneva and New York have expressed deep concern regarding recent military operations carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran, as well as subsequent acts of retaliation " Every human life is precious and deserving of dignity, and we grieve for those who have already been lost to this cycle of violence. It is our deeply held belief that lasting peace can never be achieved through violence, and we urge all parties to seek peace through dialogue and engagement."...

TODAY IS AND WE ARE HOLDING A MEETING FOR LEARNING ON 'WHAT IS QUAKER MINISTRY?'

Whilst imprisoned for her beliefs, Margaret Fell used the time to write the first full length written defence of women’s Christian ministry in English.

Last week, a summary of her argument was posted on Facebook.

It reached 10,000 people within 36 hours.

Sometimes called the ‘Mother of Quakerism’, Margaret Fell’s home Swarthmoor Hall served as the first ‘Friends world office’. She is also the first person to be described as a Quaker ‘recording clerk’.

As the chancellor prepares to raise taxes, Quakers are asking No. 10 about the government's hasty decision to invest £71 billion in nuclear-armed jet fighters on British soil. Why weren't the British public consulted? Why was this not debated in parliament?

Prime Minister Keir Starmer must rethink his decision to buy 12 nuclear-capable F-35A jets to be stationed at RAF Marham, Quakers in Britain and other civil society organisations have said.
