ABUDANT MERCY

When the Israelites were in the desert on the way to the Promised Land, they got tired, started complaining, and wouldn't obey God's commands. But God didn't say, "You're done." He kept providing them water and food and helping them defeat their enemies. At one point they made an idol and said, "This is the god that brought us out of slavery." After all God had done for them, you would think God would say, "All right, you're on your own," but God would not abandon them.

When we make mistakes, God doesn't abandon us. When we don't follow His commands, we get off course, but God doesn't give up on us. Even when we ignore Him or give somebody else the credit that He deserves, He doesn't say, "I'll show You who's in charge." He's full of mercy. He won't turn His back on you. You may have made some poor decisions, but through His grace and unfailing love, He already has a new way to get you to your destination. Be Blessed 😊

Prayer for Today

Father, thank You for Your mercies that are new every morning and for Your great unfailing love. Thank You that my mistakes and failures are not too much for Your mercy. I believe that I am covered by Your grace and that You will get me to my destination. In Jesus' Name, Amen

A PRAYER TO LIVE RIGHTEOUSLY
God, You declare that whoever pursues a life of righteousness will find life, prosperity, and honor. I am grateful that obeying You can lead to an abundant life. But in moments when obeying You leaves me feeling alone, hurt, or disrespected, please give me the strength to hold onto Your hope for my future. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Today’s Word

When you isolate a negative experience and focus on it, it may not make sense. It's like when you have a piece to a jigsaw puzzle that doesn't look like it fits anywhere. You're sure the manufacturer made a mistake. It's an odd shape, not the right color, too blurry. It looks random, like it's unnecessary. But when the other pieces come together, it makes sense. There will be a perfect fit where the colors match and the edges line up. Without it, the puzzle wouldn't be complete.

You may have a piece to your life puzzle that doesn't make sense. You could think, "God didn't ordain this setback or loss. This piece doesn't fit." But God isn't finished. Nothing is random. That piece is instrumental in getting you to your destiny. If you stay in faith, all the pieces will come together for your good--not just the good breaks and increases, but even the losses and disappointments. It will be a perfect fit when God brings it all together. Be Blessed 😊

Prayer for Today

Father, thank You that my life is in Your hands, and Your plans for me are good. Thank You that the pieces of my life puzzle that I don't understand now are going to come together and be a perfect fit. I believe that You will get me to where I'm supposed to be. In Jesus' Name, Amen

Today’s Word

There are times when we're waiting on God to do something, but God is waiting on us. Think of all the people in the Scripture who didn't wait for Jesus to come to them, but sought Him out passionately for their needs, even pushing through crowds to touch the hem of His garment for healing. God has a perfect time for each of us, but today's Scripture says, "Faith is..." Faith is always in the now. It may not bring the change overnight, for we all have waiting periods. But our faith should stay active. This should be our normal way of life: "Lord, thank You that the secret petition of my heart is on the way. I'm looking for Your goodness and favor today, not next week, not next month, not next year." Stay in the now. Your faith is going to turn things around. Your faith is going to open the right doors. Your faith is going to bring unexpected favor. Live with the anticipation that it could happen today. Be Blessed 😊

Prayer for Today

Father, thank You that in this present moment I walk by faith and not by sight. Thank You that Your power can turn impossible situations around, open the right door, and bring an abundance of unexpected favor. I am living with a sense of anticipation that You will do great things. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Today’s Word

It's easy to write off someone because they don't believe as we do, they're making poor decisions, or they're against what we stand for. Too often we try to make them believe, but some things don't happen overnight. Their heart may not be open yet, but at the right time God will soften their heart. Will you keep sowing seeds of love in that friend who shows no sign of changing? Will you keep loving that family member who says they don't believe. Will you keep praying for that coworker who ridicules believers?

Jesus said your love for one another will prove you are His follower. It's not by your doctrine, not by how many Scriptures you can quote, not by how right you are, but by how much you love them. You don't judge them. You don't look down because they don't believe as you do. You just keep loving and being good to them. They're in your life because God is counting on you to help them change. Be Blessed 😊

Prayer for Today

Father, thank You for Your unconditional love for me when I've been at my worst and farthest from You. Thank You for the people You've brought into my life that I might love and encourage in their journey to faith. Help me to be a reflection of Your love and to always be there for them. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Today’s Word

In Joshua 1, Moses had died, and it was time for Joshua to step into the leadership role and take the Israelites into the Promised Land. What God had in store for him was undoubtedly scary. He had defeated opponents on the way, but the obstacles and responsibilities before him were far bigger and more intimidating than anything he'd ever faced. Into his situation, God was saying, "I've already equipped and empowered you for every battle. This is your time. Don't be afraid. I am with you."

To take new ground in your life, you can't stay in your comfort zone. What God has in store for you will frighten you at times, but that's okay; fear comes to us all. The key is to step forward in spite of what you feel and what your mind is telling you. You've been equipped for every battle. God is setting you up to go to a new level. In those scary places, you'll discover strength, talent, determination, and perseverance you didn't know you had. Be Blessed 😊

Prayer for Today

Father, thank You that You bring challenges and obstacles across my path so big that only You can make it happen. Help me to be bold, to dare to believe, to dare to take some new steps of faith and leave the familiar behind. I trust that You will go before me and take me to the next level. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Today’s Word

In 1 Kings 18, four hundred and fifty prophets of the god Baal came against the one prophet Elijah in a challenge to prove to the entire nation of Israel who God was through a demonstration of power. After the prophets of Baal had failed, Elijah prayed the words of today's Scripture, and God answered with an awesome display of fire from heaven. There was no question as to whether it was the hand of the true God.

Sometimes you find yourself in a situation where you feel outnumbered. The sickness seems bigger, the opposition stronger, or the addiction too powerful. It's easy to get discouraged and shrink back. But you have to do as Elijah did and not be intimidated by what's against you. The battle is not yours; the battle is the Lord's. He allowed that situation so He can display His awesome power through you. Ask big, and God will show out big. He's a supernatural God. Everyone will see His hand on your life by what He does. Be Blessed

Prayer for Today

Father, thank You that You want to do great things in my life so that others will see and know that You are God. Thank You that the battles are not mine but Yours. I believe that You're about to make things happen that I could never make happen, and in amazing ways. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Today’s Word

If you're only going to enjoy today if your plans work out and people treat you right, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. The unexpected happens, and offenses come. There are no perfect people in your life--no perfect boss, no perfect friend, no perfect neighbor, no perfect spouse, no perfect child. Give people room to be human. Quit expecting them to perform perfectly all the time. "Well, they hurt my feelings." Keep your peace, don't be offended, forgive them, and move on. No matter how much someone loves you, no matter how good they are at times, they will disappoint you. At times they will let you down and say things that hurt and offend. They're just human. At the start of the day, you need to decide that no matter what comes your way--delays, disappointments, bad breaks--you're going to let the peace of Christ rule in your heart. No matter what somebody says or does, you're not going to be offended. You've already made up your mind to stay in peace. Be Blessed 😊

Prayer for Today

Father, thank You for Your peace and joy that rule and guard my heart as I put my trust in You. Help me to see myself and other people as You see us, as imperfect humans. I refuse to allow my circumstances or what others say and do to get me upset. I declare I will walk in peace. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Today’s Word

It may seem as though some of the dreams you've had didn't work out, some of the promises you were believing for haven't come to pass, and the fire has gone out in your life. Can I encourage you that underneath the ashes of disappointment, under the wrongs that people have done to you, and under the mistakes you've made, an ember is still alive? You may not be able to see that it's still burning, but all you have to do is stir it up. Stir up your passion, your dreams, your creativity, and your gifts.

In today's Scripture, the prophet Jeremiah was extremely discouraged, but deep down he realized that God's promise was still burning. You may have been through things that knocked you down, but there are dreams shut up in you like embers--all they need is to be stirred up. Start dreaming again, start looking for new opportunities, start declaring God's favor, and start praying bold prayers. What God put in you didn't go out. Be Blessed 😊

Prayer for Today

Father, thank You for the fire of the promises and dreams that are burning deep inside my life. Help me stir up my dreams, gifts, and creativity, and let the passion become a flame. I believe that there is nothing the enemy can bring against me that can put out Your fire. In Jesus' Name, Amen
