Hemblington Church Hemblington Church is a small church with a big heart and love of God. Sitting peacefully in the country, it is a place of refuge from the busy world.

Come and share our peace. Many people have a great deal of good will towards their church building, especially in rural areas. Although they may not wish to contribute to the religious aspects of the church, they may be willing to support part of their heritage.

A few days ago we were out walking through the marshes in Wickhampton with a friend. By the end of our walk St Andrew’s had been opened and Sara, one of the lovely churchwardens, treated us to a tour of the inside. Now Sister and I had been in this church several times before but within minutes we had learned some amazing facts. We hadn’t fully seen what was before us.

This reminded me of a couple of things - firstly, the gift of others, Sara brought the church’s history to life. Also, we sometimes need others to point things out to us, we can’t see them on our own. This can be especially true when we’re trying to discern our vocation, or calling from God. Others may point things out in us that we hadn’t seen. If you’re praying about your calling why not join the Shared Vocations Space in September. It’s a gentle way to explore alongside others who are doing the same. Wishing you all a blessed Sunday.

Please do come and join us at St Helen’s Church, Ranworth, Norfolk, on Sunday 6th September. Bishop Ian Bishop, Rev Cheryl and ourselves will be leading a special service during which prayers of healing and anointing of oil will be offered.
