Pray with us today.

Come, Holy Spirit. Come near to us and bless our prayer. Refresh, renew and fill us that we might receive our calling anew. Teach us patience that we might reflect your patient love as we seek to sing a new song so that in all things we might give glory to God, through Christ and in the power of the Spirit. Encourage us and fill us with hope for the future that with warmed hearts, fresh harmonies and renewed hands and voices we might pour ourselves out in love for others as you have poured out your love for us in Christ. Come, Holy Spirit. Come, Lord, come.

A reminder that this Sunday there is no service at Hedon Methodist Church and The Orchard children’s and youth groups will not be running, as we are all invited to ‘Going for Growth’ at Kingston Wesley Methodist Church, Holderness Road, Hull from 2pm to 5pm.

There will be worship, talks and each church within the South Holderness Methodist Circuit will put forward their 3 Mission priorities for growth.

We hope you can join us tomorrow afternoon.

What song shall I sing today? What prayer shall I pray today?

Abide with me, O Love Divine.

Thank you, God, for music and song in our hearts and lives.

I pray to you every new morning, anticipating what might lie ahead.

I pray to you in the afternoon, thinking of family and friends.

I pray to you in the evening, repeating “Thank you, God” for life in all its richness, remembering all who cannot sing or pray because of pain and sorrow in their lives.

What song shall I sing tomorrow? What prayer shall I pray tomorrow?

Join us this Tuesday at Hedon Methodist Church & Community Hub for our Alzheimer’s Society Advice Pop-In, where friendly advisor Sally, will be available to offer guidance, answer questions, and connect you with support services.
Whether you're living with dementia, caring for a loved one, or would like to learn more about the support available, you're very welcome to drop in. No appointment is needed.

We had a lovely morning for our Gift day and church anniversary - with a service and communion led by Rev Ian Greenfield, and in The Orchard we had a children’s group and teenage discussion group, one of our members Macey made cards during the week to hand out to everyone. Afterwards we all shared lunch and fellowship together, a very happy morning. Thanks be to God!
