This afternoon, we celebrated a wonderful milestone in Manchester — our first new English-speaking Lutheran service! 🇬🇧⛪

It was a joy to gather together at Martin Luther Church in Stretford, bringing people from across Greater Manchester together to worship, pray, and share in fellowship.

We are delighted to begin this new series of English-language Lutheran services in Manchester, creating a welcoming space for people to grow in faith and encounter the love of Christ.

Our first service was led by Pastor Joseph, Pastor Krystyna, and Pastor Christa, and we are grateful to everyone who joined us for this special beginning.

🙏 Please keep this new ministry in your prayers as we continue to grow together in faith, community, and worship.

A few times a year there is a North of England Lutheran Pastors Meeting. The most recent happened last Friday in Leeds. This is a wonderful opportunity to socialise together, pray together, and work together as Lutheran Pastors in the North. Please keep us all in your prayers

💌 A Postcard from Taizé

As summer soon comes to an end, we’re looking back on a very special week in Taizé. 🇫🇷☀️

From 18–26 July, members of the Council of Lutheran Churches Chaplaincy travelled to Taizé, joining thousands of young people and adults from around the world for a week of prayer, worship, reflection and fellowship.

As we return to the rhythms of autumn, we carry the spirit of Taizé with us — the friendships made, the moments of quiet, and the reminder that faith brings us together across borders and traditions. ❤️
