Come and join us as we celebrate our Harvest Festival with a Family Mass on Sunday 27th September at 11am.
At this special service the young people of our church take the lead, serving and participating throughout the Mass. It is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together in gratitude, and to put that gratitude into action. We kindly invite you to bring along gifts of tins and dry foods, which will be collected and distributed to local families in need through Family Support Work (FSW). Come share in the joy of the harvest, support our young people, and help us make a real difference in our local community—we cannot wait to welcome you!

Tomorrow's 7pm Mass willl be celebrated outside enabling us to witness the partial solar eclipse. How fitting that the response to the psalm set for the day is:
"Above the heavens is the glory of the Lord."

As the light of the sun is gradually obscured, we are reminded that the created world is beautiful, mysterious and beyond our control.
But there is another light which no eclipse can overcome:
the light of Christ.

I stand with my brother in Christ, His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, in his courageous call for a kingdom of peace.

As I prepare to visit Rome later this month to meet and pray with Pope Leo, I am mindful of his call to keep our eyes open to the suffering of the world, and our gaze fixed on our crucified and risen Lord Jesus Christ – the image of the invisible God, in whose image and likeness every human being is made. In him, we recognise that we are children of the one Father and members of a single human family. Prayer is not an escape from the world, nor a turning away from injustice; rather, it is a turning towards God in the midst of it, confronting evil, seeking God’s will, and becoming instruments of transformation and peace.
