Thanks go to young Mark who on behalf of the Friends of St Erth Chapel (FOSEC) donated some vintage glass lightshades and put them up and replaced all non working lightbulbs for us. We are grateful for their support

Lucas came with his supporting friends and Tau (the dog) was the most well behaved animal that the Chapel has seen for a very long time.

On Sunday we were delighted to welcome Lucas Piff to lead our service. At 21 he is the youngest preacher that I can recall; a local lad who is a member of Hayle Light and Life Community Church (Free Methodist Church) and in his 3rd year at Moorlands College studying for a B.A. in Theology. He inspired us all and we wish him well.

There is always tea; coffee; and cakes; and more in the kitchen on Farmers' Market day. Each week a different local charity is given the opportunity to raise funds by providing this service. It is always popular and crowded as it is also a meeting place for friends to catch up with each other in a warm and friendly place. It is this free community activity that the Friends of St Erth Chapel wish to raise funds for so that this remains a part of St Erth culture.

At the Farmers' Market on a Saturday local trades people get an opportunity to sell their wares. This friendly gathering is organised by the Chapel and it is this free community activity that the Friends of St Erth Chapel wish to raise funds for so that this remains a part of St Erth culture. The stallholders pay a small fee for their table and the locals get an opportunity to discuss and inspect the produce - an unlikely opportunity in a supermarket.

Today at Tea and Toast we had a full house. Every Tuesday is the same and it is this free community activity that the Friends of St Erth Chapel wish to raise funds for so that this remains a part of St Erth culture. It is more that the title gives credit, because we see young and old together; those who are mobile and not so mobile; for others it is a place where they meet old friends and make new friends; and the borders of St Erth are boundless.

Every Saturday and Tuesday between 10.00am and 12.00am Carol's Emporium and Bazaar in the entrance lobby of the Methodist Hall is staffed. The range of items is replenished from existing stocks as items are sold. There should be something different every time you visit. The recycling of blister packs; spectacles; batteries; and mobile phones and tablets is working well with this handy service for all.

Today we were pleased that our own Di Webber could lead our service. It was a special first on many points. Although it was our second baptism this year, it was the first for Di; and a first for baby Rory to use our reserve ancient portable serpentine font; a first for Christian the youngest member of the Chapel to present Rory with a bible; and a first to close the service with the tune of a Teddy Bears Picnic. It was a very special occasion for those gathered there today.
