In this Bank Holiday Monday Thought for the Week we look at – The Gift that Stays.

Last week, we reflected on the gift of interruptions—those moments that disrupt our plans and open us to something deeper.

And then comes today.

A Bank Holiday, a pause in the rhythm, an interruption… but a gentler one.

Maybe that’s the invitation:
to notice that not all interruptions are unwelcome. Some arrive as space, some as rest. Others as a quiet chance to breathe again.

When the pace slows, even a little, we begin to notice what we usually miss—
a conversation, a moment, the presence of God in the ordinary.

So whatever today holds, don’t rush past it.

Happy Monday, hope you had a great weekend. Here we are at the start of a new week and still, lot can happen in a week!

Last week many people were celebrating Holy Week and Easter. Some were in church. Some were with family. Some were simply enjoying a long weekend and the signs of spring beginning to appear.

And now it is Monday again.

The washing still needs doing. Emails still arrive. People still carry worries, grief, tiredness and uncertainty. Life goes on.

But perhaps Easter, at its heart, is not only about one day. Perhaps it is an invitation to notice that even in ordinary life, new beginnings are possible.

You do not have to have all the answers to notice that.

You might see it in blossom appearing on trees that looked bare only weeks ago. You might see it in someone finding the strength to keep going after a difficult time. You might see it in kindness from a stranger, laughter after sadness, or hope returning quietly when you thought it had gone.

For some people, those moments point to God.

For others, they simply remind us that life has a way of surprising us, and that even after difficult seasons, something new can still grow.

Perhaps this week is a chance to pay attention to those small signs of life around us.

A kind word.
A fresh start.
A repaired friendship.
A moment of peace.
A glimpse of beauty.
A reason to keep hoping.

Because sometimes the most ordinary days still hold something sacred within them.

Whatever you do this week, take great care - God bless.
