All are welcome to join us for this summer’s Study Group, beginning Wednesday 24 June 2026.

Based on a prayer attributed to Theresa of Avila ‘Christ has no body now but yours’, we will be exploring how God meets us in our daily lives and calls us to His service.

The course will run over five weeks (please check the dates) on Wednesdays 12.00noon to 1.00pm, refreshments from 11.45am.

Together with all in our Diocese we pray for Dagmar our bishop, the work of the Mission to Seafarers and all chaplaincies and especially rejoice in our partnership in the Gospel with Wilf’s Place.

Wilf’s Place, led by Evangelist Tim Hatton, meets on Thursdays at 10.30am in the Teviotdale Harriers Club rooms and runs a weekly toddler group, Roondaboot, at the Burnfoot community hub, Wednesdays at 1.30pm. All are welcome.

We encourage the whole Diocese to pray together each day: for and with each other.

Today we pray for Bishop Dagmar, Wilf’s Place, including Tim H, Mission to Seafarers Scotland, including Tim T, staff at the General Synod Office, and all who work or volunteer as a chaplain.

Gospel: Matthew 28.16-end

Collect: Almighty and Everlasting God, you have given us grace in the profession of true faith to recognise the glory of the eternal Trinity: keep us steadfast in this faith and bring us to see you in your perfect and eternal unity; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, world without end. Prayers for Bishop Dagmar and our Diocese and Province.

On this joyful day of installation, we pray for Bishop Mark, Bishop-Elect Dagmar, the College of Bishops, and those in provincial leadership in the Scottish Episcopal Church. In particular, we pray for Bishop-Elect Dagmar as she is installed as the new Bishop of Edinburgh:

Eternal and loving God, you have called Dagmar to shepherd your people with wisdom and compassion.
Bless her with a heart rooted in humility, a mind guided by truth, and hands ready to serve with generosity.
Grant her courage in times of challenge, gentleness in moments of care, and steadfast faith in every decision.
May the light of your Spirit guide each step, so that through her ministry, the Church may grow in unity, hope, and love.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

An interview with our Bishop Elect prior to her installation on Saturday. Prayers offered.
