Haverhill & District Youth For Christ A Christian Youthwork Charity working with 11-18 yr olds in Haverhill and the surrounding areas

We work with young people in local secondary schools, churches and in the community, helping them develop spiritually, morally and socially whilst effectively share our faith and show how we approach life as Christians. Our main areas of ministry are youthwork, schoolswork and also training for those studying youthwork.

For the next 5 days in our Pray Through May initiative we will be focusing on schools.
Please do pray for God's blessing over all our local schools, and specifically pray for the students and staff, for excellent teaching and learning, and for school to be a welcoming and safe place for all. Thank you.

Yesterday we launched our prayer initiative ‘Pray Through May’. Each day there will be a topic to pray for relating to our work.
Once every 5 days there is a short video…here’s the first!

If you are bringing a bake/s to be judged, please bring it to the Methodist Church hall on Sunday 1.30-2pm, with an ingredients list.

Last night Illuminate youth group remembered The late Queen. We thought about her strong Christian faith and how she lived out the characteristics of humility, servanthood and wisdom. We ended with a time of prayer and one minute silence. We thanked God for her life and good example to us. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

Illuminate and River of Life Community Church youth group gathered at the Reach office this afternoon to pack gift bags filled with Christmas treats to be given to people in our community who might not otherwise be able to enjoy some festive goodies this Christmas.
It was great to support a fantastic charity and have fun too.
We filled 91 bags in an hour and then ran out of food! Good work guys!!!
