URGENT - HAUGHTON CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH-ON POSTPONED

Sadly - given weather conditions - the decision has been made to postpone the gathering and formal events that were scheduled for 5pm tonight (the Xmas Light Brigade will look to organise some Carols next 10 days - asap - if possible).

The lights - if safe to do so - will go on this weekend, switched on by volunteers.

Thanks go to our marvellous band of volunteers - the Haughton Christmas Light Brigade (the Magnificent 8) - along with our fanatsic sponsors -(seperate post on them shortly)

As for the two special students from EV - they will get a starring role in something else!!!!

Whilst it is very disappointing to postpone the big gathering (NATURE GOT THE BETTER OF US) - we do think it is important to get those lights on and start Christmas!!!!!

I have a request from one of our CAP clients - does anyone have any strong boxes please, suitable to put books in, please? They are having a declutter and wanting to make more space by getting rid of some books they have inherited. Also any recommendations for reasonable Skip Hire for other bits from the declutter?! Many thanks.

Just a reminder that there is still time to sign up for the Living in Love & Faith course, taking place on Wednesday evenings from 7.15-9.15pm in the Church Hall. If you are not sure why it is so important to attend, maybe the following reflection will help!
