On Monday there's a funeral in church starting at 1 o'clock, with the bells being rung before and after the service.

Safeguarding Training is taking place in the church on Tuesday, this will occupy most of the morning and early afternoon.

Our usual mid-week Coffee Morning takes place on Wednesday from 10 o'clock until 12 noon, £1 for a cuppa and a biscuit. Meet your friends in a friendly environment.In the evening the Praise Group meets to rehearse the songs for the June Praise Evening, the theme being Gratitude.

And next Sunday it's our turn to host the Benefice Holy Communion service at 10:30am, we'd be pleased to see you. We now are able to offer gluten-free wafers for communion and, if that's for you, please let the church wardens know as you come into church.

We're looking for help in manning the church, welcoming visitors, serving teas, selling programmes for Open Gardens 2026. The event is on the afternoons of Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June, 12-5, and there's a rota in church to pop your name on if you would like to lend a hand.

Friends of Hathern Church have their monthly meeting on Tuesday at 7:30pm, the main topic being the Open Gardens weekend as we are at the centre of the event. If you'd like to help in church, do get in touch. There will be a rota for helpers in church from tomorrow.

On Wednesday, we have our usual Coffee Morning from 10-12, do come along and join us for a chat.
On Wednesday evening, as part of Hathern's Big Week, we are holding our Praise in the Park with Hathern Baptist Church at 7:30pm, followed by refreshments and fellowship. It's a lively evening of worship through song and hymns, old and new. Give it a go, you'll feel better for it!!

There's no Saturday Coffee Morning this month as they have been paused for the summer months.

On Sunday, we have our Family Service at 10:30am, thinking about the Trinity, followed by coffee and biscuits
If it's a service of Holy Communion for you, then there's one at Diseworth Church at 9:30am and another at Kegworth Church at 10:30am.
Evensong is at Kegworth Church at 6:15pm

It's Hathern's Big Week and there will be no morning service in Hathern Church, instead we are taking part in "Church in the Park" on The Park at 10:15am, with Hathern Baptist Church and Sheshed Baptist Church, it's part of Churches Together. See the attached poster for more details of the live worship.

On Tuesday, there's a memorial service for Sheila Swift at 2 o'clock

Wednesday sees our monthly mid-week said Holy Communion at 9:30am, followed by the usual Coffee Morning, 10.30 to 12.

On Thursday evening, the bell ringers are rehearsing their skills from about 7:00pm for a couple of hours.

On Saturday, Hathern's Big Week begins with "It's a Knockout", juniors from 12 and seniors from 2. Hathern Church will be having a refreshment stall from 12 to 5:30 and we'd welcome some home-made cakes if you have time to bake some (please let John Worsfold know), or perhaps you would help out on the stall on Saturday (there's a rota in church to fill your name in).

On Sunday, Hathern Baptist Church is holding a "Church in The Park" at 10:30am, and several of our congregation are joining in, there are refreshments, too. Do join us on The Park.

Coming soon…..PRAISE IN THE PARK 🎵🎶

As part of the BIG WEEK celebrations, Hathern Church will be holding their monthly Praise Evening under canvas, instead of church.

Please note this is taking place on Wednesday 3rd June at 7.30pm.

Today (Monday) we have a team in to collate the church's June Magazine ready for distribution to the village

On Wednesday there's our weekly Coffee Morning from 10 till 12 so do come along and meet your friends in a warm and welcoming place.
In the evening, the Praise Group meets to rehearse the songs and hymns for our "Praise in the Park", songs of praise in the marquee in Hathern's Big Week.

On Friday morning, the year 5s from Hathern School are in church leading a school service at 10:00am. Because of the number of school children now at Hathern School, this is only for invited parents, grandparents and carers.

Saturday sees the Benefice Men's Breakfast at the Three Crowns, 9 for a 9:30am start. If you'd like to join us, please get in touch with John Wigley.

On Sunday, we have Cafe Church here in Hathern Church, 10:30am for a bacon butty, croissants and other goodies, with a thought for the day.
If you're after a service of Holy Communion, there's one at 9:30am at Osgathorpe Church and another at 10:30am at Belton Church.

This week sees our usual Wednesday Morning Coffee Morning, it's from 10:00am until 12 noon and it's only a quid for a cuppa and a biscuit. Come and chat with your friends in a warm place.
In the evening, the Praise Group meets to practice for "Praise in the Park" during Hathern's Big Week. The churches in Hathern meet together for this and the Sunday Morning Service "Church in the Park", both are in the marquee.

On Sunday, the Benefice Service of Holy Communion will be at Long Whatton Church, starting at 10:30am.

Tonight (Monday) the Friends of Hathern Church meets at 7:30pm to plan the next few weeks events concerning the church, in particular our involvement with the upcoming Big Week.

The church decorator (Olly) will be in Church on Tuesday, Wednesday afternoon and Thursday for our annual repair to the decorations of the church and porch. The church will remain open but please be aware of the hazards of wet paint, ladders, etc.

On Wednesday morning, it's our weekly Coffee Morning from 10:00am until 12 noon, come along, meet your friends and have a cuppa for a quid.
In the evening, the Praise Group meets to plan its "Songs of Praise" in the marquee in the Big Week.

The bell-ringers meet on Thursday at 7:00pm-ish to practice their skills

And, on Sunday, the Benefice service of Holy Communion takes place here in Hathern at 10:30am, everyone is welcome.
