Today was a truly special day as we celebrated Shavuot and concluded our wonderful 8-session series!

Here’s a glimpse into our final session:

📖 What is Shavuot? We kicked off with a short video exploring the meaning of the holiday and why it is such a joyful celebration for the Jewish people.

🧁 Baking Mt. Sinai: We headed to the kitchen to bake delicious chocolate muffins. While they were in the oven, we brought the story of Shavuot to life!

🎭 “The Quarrel of the Mountains”: Each child took on the role of a different mountain, each claiming they deserved to have the Torah given upon them. In the end, we learned how Mt. Sinai was chosen specifically for its simplicity and humility.

✨ Blooming Mountains: Once the muffins were ready, the kids transformed them into beautiful “Blooming Mt. Sinais” using chocolate ganache, wafers (as the Luchot), and colorful decorations.

📸 Memory Collages: As this was our final meeting of the term, each child designed a beautiful photo collage as a keepsake of all the amazing experiences we’ve shared. It was incredible to see their creativity shine-each child took it in their own unique direction!

This week, we are all celebrating Lag BaOmer! 🔥

We started our session by learning about the meaning behind this special day and the story of Rabbi Akiva. Following his teachings, we focused on the vital theme of “Ahavat Yisrael” - loving our fellow person just as we love ourselves.

Here is what we did today:

💌 The Power of Words: Each child had an envelope, and friends wrote notes highlighting the strengths and good qualities they see in one another. Taking a moment to focus on a friend’s light truly changes how we see them!

🍫 Edible Bonfires: The kids “built” their own delicious bonfires! They melted chocolate to coat Bamba snacks (representing the wood logs), then piped “flame” whipped cream on top and decorated them with marshmallows. It was as tasty as it was creative!

❤️ Keychain Craft: We created beautiful wooden heart keychains with “Love” written on them-a constant reminder to carry with us everywhere that our job is to spread love and kindness.

It was a beautiful day filled with light and friendship. Ask your kids to share the wonderful compliments they received in their envelopes!

We had another wonderful session today at C Kids!

🎨 Finishing Touches: The kids completed their beautiful “Modeh Ani” pillowcases-ready to bring more gratitude into their mornings.

🌎 The Story of Creation: Following last week’s theme of gratitude, we explored the Six Days of Creation. We learned about the amazing world Hashem created for us and how much there is to appreciate in every single day.

✨ Creative Projects:

We made special folding globes that reveal what was created each day.

The kids created their own “Mini Worlds” in cups using colorful salt art-representing the layers and beauty of our world.
