We are a multi-generational church in the heart of Hastings, East Sussex that welcomes everyone no matter what! Our services are held every Sunday at 10:30am, where our church family will be looking forward to welcoming you. We always start with some contemporary worship for you to sing along to if
you wish. Sonrise Church is situated at St Peter and St Paul, Bohemia Road, Hastings. Together we are building a Church where you can belong, connect with others and encounter God, a new concept in contemporary church. Coming to church for the first time is not always easy! What about my children? Do I have to give? How should I dress? What's the music like? Am I welcome if I don't know what I believe?"
When you come to Sonrise Church we want it to be an enjoyable experience, one that you'll not soon forget. So let us take some of those questions and provide some helpful answers. The Senior Pastors, Glenn and Cathy attended Christian Outreach Centre Ministry Training School in 1996 in 1997 they then felt God call them to start a Church in Hastings Sussex. After three more years they were released by their home Church (City Coast Church, Brighton) and started the Church in September 2000. Among other things the church has done, is run a programme on Sky TV called 'Touched by God' which they did for two years. We also hold a number of mid-week events, such as connect groups, prayer meetings and social events. We hold a youth group every Thursday evening (for teenagers), as well as organise young adult events on a monthly basis for those who are 16 and above.
