What about recording Strictly Come Dancing on the 23rd, next Saturday, at 7:30pm. Join us at Pett Village Hall for an entertaining talk by Andy McConnell live, (instead of on Antique Roadshow)? Doors open 7pm. Tickets £10 if you order ahead (see poster below), or £12.50 at the door. Wine available and a raffle. And if you have a precious piece of glass then bring it along.

This time next week it will all be over, so make sure you don't miss it! Not only a fascinating talk (which will start around 2:30pm - come in time for tea and cake at 2pm) but also there will be artwork for sale (we take plastic!). It is also the time to support what we do by renewing or becoming a Friend. Or just come along for an outing. Everyone welcome.

Wearing my other hat for a moment - that of Chair of the Archive Resource Centre - this might interest some of you. I have been working with Lorna on this presentation and it is an interesting story she has to tell. How would we live without electric or running water, living in a gypsy caravan with two small children? Find out how it was done and what it was like growing up with parents who were determined to live off the land and be completely self-sufficient.
