Inshallah we will celebrate Eid Ul-Adha on Wednesday 27 May, with prayer times at 7:30am and 8:30am at our new Islamic centre.

Remember that there is no parking on Tower Street or Belford Road but there is plenty of room in the multi storey car park 100m away. We wish our community a blessed Eid.

Assalamu aleikum, everyone. Inshallah, from Friday 15 May 2026, we will have one jumu'ah prayer at 1:30pm (instead of two salaats as we have had until now). We have made arrangements to accommodate extra people on the ground floor to make this possible.

A reminder that there is NO PARKING on Tower Street in front of our neighbouring businesses. Please use legal street parking or the multi-storey car park on Tower Street.

Also, from 14 May, we will have congregational Isha prayer directly after Maghrib. Download the Mawaqit app (for iOS and Android) and look up Harrogate Islamic Centre to see updated prayer times and announcements. Jazakullahkhair.

Juma mubarak! We are settling in nicely into our new home with two congregational prayers on Fridays at 1:30pm and 2:30pm. But we still need your support to pay our debts and complete the building works (including a new lift for our disabled brothers and sisters, a new mezzanine, and full exterior refurbishment). You can also download the Mawaqit app (iOS and Android), search for "Harrogate Islamic Centre," and have prayer times, news, information, and even prayer time notifications on your phone at all times.

Assalamu aleikum everyone, and welcome to British Summer Time and our updated prayer schedule.

We're pleased to announce that we are open for all five daily prayers, alhamdulillah, thanks to our volunteers who are opening the building to all who want to join. Please note that we must lock the doors before congregational prayers start for security reasons, so please show up a few minutes early if possible.

We also have two jamaats on Fridays for jumaa prayers, at 1:30pm and 2:30pm.

Alḥamdulillāh, by the grace and mercy of Allah ﷻ, we are pleased to announce the opening of our new masjid in Harrogate on 1st March. This has enabled us to host the blessed Taraweeh prayers during the latter part of this sacred month of Ramadan.

While this is a significant milestone for our community, there remains important work to be completed. We humbly appeal to our brothers and sisters for their continued support in helping us fulfil this noble project. Outstanding commitments include £25,000 in Qarz-e-Hasanah loans, £50,000 owed to the builders for completed work, £25,000 required for the installation of a lift, £50,000 to complete the upper floor mezzanine, and £20,000 for the external rendering of the building.

We sincerely request your generous contributions in the سبيل الله, and ask Allah ﷻ to accept it as Sadaqah Jariyah for you and your loved ones.

Alhamdulillah, we are excited to announce that our new masjid is open for prayers. During Ramadan, this will include late evening (Isha and Taraweeh) prayers and Friday (juma) prayers only while we continue to renovate the interior. Inshallah, we will have a public opening in April or May when the interior is fully complete. Thanks to Friends Meeting House, Chain Lane Community Hub, St. Robert's Church, and St. Andrew's Church for hosting us for all these years while we have worked on this project.
