We had the most wonderful time on Christmas Day at The Salvation Army Harpenden.
The day began with a lovely Service led by Major Annette Guest followed by an amazing dinner cooked by Major Kenneth Guest and his amazing kitchen team, and served by our numerous volunteers who came to help with the day.
After lunch we played some games and then our time together finished with the King’s speech before our guests left with their Christmas goodie bags.
We fed 67 guests and volunteers and we are so grateful to all who helped make this possible:
The Harpenden Trust who supported us in so many ways, as they do throughout the year.
Jelley's Meats who provided the amazing Turkey that our guests enjoyed, Hulse Greengrocers for the lovely vegetables, and all our volunteers who cooked, served, drove, tidied up, chatted with guests as without them none of it would be possible.
Sadly no photos to share apart from how the hall looked before any one arrived because of respecting people’s privacy, but we are so grateful to the volunteer team who made it look so beautiful!
Thank you all so much, we are truely grateful and hope that everyone who was part of the day enjoyed it as much as we did. Thank you 🙏
