Today we acknowledge and offer our heartfelt thanks to the small and dedicated team of clergy who serve Hēmi Tapu ❤️. Through your leadership, guidance, and pastoral care, you help shape and sustain the life of our whānau. In leading our karakia, preaching the Word, and walking alongside people in both joy and challenge - your ministry is felt deeply. We are grateful for your faithfulness, wisdom, and the sacrifices you make. Your calling and your service is a blessing to us all. Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou - we see you, we value you, and we thank you.

We are delighted to share that both Rev’d Warahi and Whaea Linda P**i have accepted new pastoral roles among our West Auckland whānau: 'Ngā Minita Oranga Kaumātua-Kuia o Tāmaki ki te Hauāuru' (Kaumātua-Kuia Well-Being Ministers).

In this role, they will help support and care for our kaumātua and kuia across West Auckland, offering a listening ear, pastoral care, and a loving and faithful presence of the Church within the community.

We give thanks for their faithful pursuit of this mahi, and we pray for them in this new chapter of ministry. If you know whānau who could benefit from their support, contact Rev'd David Ratu here: 027 833 3350

Join us for karakia each Sunday at 9:30am - all are welcome, ahakoa te aha. Our service is bilingual (te reo Māori and English) and follows the Anglican Prayer Book.

Each week, we gather to sing praises, hear the Scriptures, reflect together through a kauwhau, and share in the Eucharist (Holy Communion). After the service, we enjoy fellowship over a cup of tea and biscuit.

We’re a close-knit community that seeks to make everyone feel welcome and at home.

Nau mai, haere mai, hoki mai e te whānau 🤍

With our 9.30am service cancelled, we're instead joining Te Mīhana Māori - Church of the Holy Sepulchre for online karakia tomorrow at 9am - see details below.

Kia ora e te iwi, following the latest weather warnings, and under the direction of our Bishop, Pīhopa Te Kitohi Pikaahu, and our Archdeacon, Ven. Mark Barnard, all services across Tāmaki Makaurau tomorrow have been cancelled as we prioritise everyone’s safety.

This includes the cancellation of our usual in-person services at Te Mīhana Māori (8.30am & 10.30am) and Hēmi Tapu (9.30am).

Instead, we warmly invite those who are free and able to join us for online Morning Prayer this Sunday, led by Rev’d Neihana Reihana. This karakia will begin at 9am on Sunday 12 April via Zoom:

Please click the link below to join us:
https://us05web.zoom.us/j/86706441478
After clicking the above link, you'll be prompted to enter a passcode - please use: 563189.

Once you’ve joined, you’re welcome to have your video on/off as you prefer. But we kindly ask that microphones remain muted throughout, to avoid disrupting this karakia.

If you are able, it would be wonderful to gather together in this way. We do understand it may be a challenging morning for some with the weather, school holidays, etc - please know you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Please continue to take care, stay updated through official channels (https://www.facebook.com/aklcdem/), and check in on those around you.
