Oakwood Chapel Oakwood Chapel is an independent Evangelical church in Harlow, Essex, UK. Our services are open to all, and you'll find a warm welcome.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, and that it should therefore determine all that we do believe, do or say. Our services are traditional but not too formal, and our main focus is on preaching the truth about Jesus Christ from the Bible. A little history: Oakwood Chapel was formally founded in 1962, when a small group of people saw the need for a church in the newly-developing area of L

ittle Parndon. The work that became Oakwood Chapel had actually begun a few years earlier, when a Sunday School class was started in the C**t Hatch "common room", in 1957.
