What We Believe

We believe in one God, consisting of three distinct persons, known as the Godhead

The Father (John 12:28)
The Son (Is. 48:16)
The Holy Spirit (Acts 10:19-20)

These three persons have existed for all eternity:

The Father (Ps. 90:2)
The Son (Mic. 5:2)
The Holy Spirit (Heb. 9:14)

We believe the Godhead share the following attributes:

Omnipotent

God the Father (1 Pet. 1

:5)
God the Son (2 Cor. 12:9)
God the Holy Spirit (Rom. 15:13)

Omniscient

The Father (Jer. 17:10)
The Son (Rev. 2:23)
The Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 2:11)

Omnipresent

The Father (Jer. 23:24)
The Son (Matt. 18.20)
The Holy Spirit (Ps. 139:7)

We believe the Godhead worked together in the creation of the world:

The Father (Gen. 1:1)
The Son (Col. 1:16-18)
The Holy Spirit (Job 26:13)

They each worked together to resurrect Jesus from the dead:

The Father raised Him from the dead (Gal. 1:1)
The Son raised Himself from the dead (John 2:19-21)
The Holy Spirit raised Him from the dead (Rom. 8:11)

We believe in a young earth (thousands of years old), and we believe in a literal 6/24-hour day creation of the world. We believe that mankind is universally sinful and wicked (Gen. 6:5; Rom. 3:23), yet God has made is possible for anyone to be born again/saved from their sins (John 12:32; 1 Tim. 4:10), if they believe on and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for their own salvation (John 1:12; Rom. 10:9-13). We believe salvation is for born again Bible believers who are fully submersion baptised (John 3,Acts 2:38),
by grace through faith;which is a free gift (Rom. 5:15),
that cannot be earned (Eph. 2:8-10). We believe in Baptism of Holy spirit(John 3,
Acts 2:38)
and spiritual Gifts(1 Corinthians 12)

We believe in the equality and universal priesthood of all Bible believing Christians (1 Pet. 2:9; Rev. 5:10). We believe the Bible is inspired by God (2 Tim. 3:16), inerrant (John 10:35b), infallible (2 Tim. 2:15), and eternally preserved (Ps. 12:6-7). We believe that the King James Bible is God's final, perfect, and infallible word to the world (Ecc. 8:4).
. We believe in a literal thousand-year reign of the Lord Jesus Christ on the earth, known as the Millennial Kingdom, which will occur after the Great Tribulation (Zech. 14:1-10; Matt. 25:31-44). We believe in a literal and final False Prophet who will come from the religious sphere (Rev. 16:13), and we believe in a literal and final Antichrist who will come from the political / elite sphere (Rev.11:7)

And we believe in a literal and conscious Hell, which lasts forever, for those that die without trusting and believing in the Lord Jesus Christ to save them, along with a literal and conscious Heaven, for those that did believe on and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to save them, which also lasts forever (Matt. 25:45-46). We believe that Gods commandments still stand as do his commands on feast days, clean foods and Sabbaths, and using Gods true observable calendar (Gen 1:14)(Jeremiah 31:35)

Passover - (Exo 12:14)
This is the first Feast on God’s calendar. Angel of death passed over lambs blood marked doorways, and Yahshua was crucified (Matt. 26:19-31)(Matt:26:2 17-19) (Mark:14:12-16)(Luke:2:41-42)(luke 22:1, 7-20)( John:2:13, 23; 6:4; 13:1-30)(1 Corinthians 5:7)

Feast of Unleavened Bread - (Exo 23:15)
This begins the night of Passover and extends seven days with the commandment to abstain from eating anything with leaven in it and, instead, Observed by Yahshua, the apostles or the Church in the New Testament: (Matthew:26:17)( Mark:14:12)( Luke:2:41-42,)(luke22:1,7)(Acts:20:6)(1 Corinthians:5:6-8)

Feast of First Fruits -(Leviticus 23:14-16)
This takes place three days after Passover. (Matt. 27:62 – 28:6)(Matt 28:1)(Mark 16:1-2)(Luke 24:1)(John 1:20)(Rom 8:23)( 1 Cor 15:20-23.) Pentecost -(Leviticus:23:15-22)
This takes place 50 days and seven sabbaths after Passover. The pouring out of God’s very spirit into the disciples and all those they spoke to, marking the beginning of “The Last Days” foretold by the prophet Joel-
(Joel 2:28-32) (Acts 2;21). lest ye die: it shall be a statute FOREVER throughout your generations.” (Lev. 10:8,9)
John the baptist was High priest who else would be qualified in the eyes of God to baptise his son and the next High priest (luke 3:21)
Observed by Yahshua, the apostles And was the birth of the Church in the New Testament:( Acts:2:1-21)(Acts 20:16; 1)(1Corinth:16:8)

These four make up the Spring Feasts. Have these dates set aside and understand the meaning of these Feasts,

After the Spring Feasts there are 108 days without a holiday. Then there are three Fall Feasts within 23 days. They are:

Feast of Trumpets – (Lev 23:23-25)(Num 29:1-6)
scriptures say a trumpet will accompany Yeshua’s second coming
(Matt.24:29-31)(1Cor15:52)(1Thes 4-16)(Rev8:6)(Rev10:7)(Rev 11:15)

Day of Atonement – (Leviticus:23:26-32)
This Day falls ten days after the Feast of Trumpets, It is a time of repentence and reflection on your year. Second coming He will judge all mankind and assign to eternal life those who have taken His blood as their atonement, and to eternal punishment those who have not (Matt. 25:31-46). Apostle paul also kept this feast but in Acts it is called "the fast" (Acts 27:9)

νηστείαnēsteia nace-ti'-ahFrom G3522; abstinence (from lack of food, or voluntary and religious); specifically the fast of the Day of Atonement: - fast (-ing.) Feast of Tabernacles – (Leviticus:23:33-43)
This day falls five days after the Day of Atonement and lasts seven days. It was Observed by Yahshua, the apostles or the Church in the New Testament (John:7:1-2 8, 10, 14)( Acts:18:21)
The Wedding Feast of the Lamb where Yeshua dwells/tabernacles with His people (Rev. 19:6-9). Accordingly this Feast is celebrated during the Millennium by all nations, not just Jews (Zech. 14:16-19). After seven days of this Feast, the eighth day
Eighth Day- (Laviticus: 23:36)

The New Heaven and New Earth (Rev. 21:1-5). The use of the number eight in the Bible typically symbolizes new life. The eighth day Sabbath represents the advent of the New Heaven and New Earth. The Spring Feasts perfectly set the stage and timing for the events of Yeshua’s first coming. The Fall Feasts of Yeshua’s second coming. The stretch of time between the Spring and Fall Feasts symbolizes “The Last Days,” which we are currently in.. We discourage all pagan traditions of men and promote truth in all matters and a boldness to defend Gods original intentions for his people ,we were left with specific orders from our king , And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.(math 10;8)

The word “repent” in Hebrew is most commonly translated as: תשובה (Teshuvah)
Meaning: Return (to Gods ways), turning back (to Gods ways)
Root: שׁוּב (shuv) – “to return”
It means returning to God, returning to your true path — not just feeling sorry, but changing direction.
In the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament), repentance is often described as:
שׁוּבוּ אֵלַי (Shuvu elai) – “Return to Me.”

New Year?

Janus and Saturn were paired in Roman paganism as false gods governing time and order. Janus opened beginnings and endings, while Saturn enforced cycles of sowing, harvest, and decay. Together they formed Rome’s theology of time without God, replacing covenant history with idolatry, fate, and imperial religious control.

Biblical new year begins in spring month Aviv. Exodus 12:2 This month shall be the beginning of months for you.

Aviv is early spring, around March to April, determined by the ripening of barley in the Land of Israel. “Aviv” means young, green, ripening barley.

“You shall have no other gods before Me.” Exodus 20:3

CULT OF DISPENSATIONALISM

Dispensationalism

A theological system dividing biblical history into distinct “dispensations” where God relates to humanity differently.

Commonly separates Israel and the Church as two parallel peoples with different promises.
Popularised by John Nelson Darby and later Scofield via the Scofield Reference Bible.

Strongly associated with pre trib. rapture theology and a future, separate plan for ethnic Israel.

Artificially fragments Scripture instead of reading it as one continuous covenant story.
Separates Israel and Gentile believers, contradicting Ephesians 2, Romans 11, and the “one new man.”

Implies the heresy that the Torah was abolished or sidelined, opposing Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:17–19.

Creates multiple “gospels” in practice, undermining the unity of faith in Messiah.
Treats the Church as a parenthesis, which weakens covenant continuity.

Encourages end-times escapism rather than covenantal obedience and discipleship.
Elevates system over Scripture, often reading the Bible through Scofield’s notes rather than the text itself.

Historically tied to theological novelty, not early apostolic or Second Temple Jewish understanding.

You will know them by their fruits

After his claimed conversion, Scofield abandoned his family, ignored restitution, bypassed elder discipline, and rose to power without tested character. From this moral failure flowed a system. Dispensationalism fractured Scripture, divided God’s people, nullified Torah obedience, and elevated a man made framework above the text. Through his Reference Bible, commentary was treated as revelation, creating dependency, insulation from correction, and unquestioned authority. These are cult like traits.

When a compromised man becomes the gatekeeper of doctrine, the result is confusion, lawlessness, and division. By biblical standards, both the leader and the system fail.

This doctrine is a cancer.

If we want Scotland to return to its roots and to the faith our forefathers lived and died for, then we need to be honest about what the Covenanters and Puritans actually believed and taught.
One of the clearest examples is Christmas.

They did not keep it, because they believed every part of worship had to come from Scripture alone. Anything invented by man was seen as pollution of God’s commandments.

Scottish Parliament made this position law in 1640, stating that the kirk of Scotland was reformed from the “superstitious observation of days, particularly the feasts of Christmas” (Acts of the Parliament of Scotland, 1640, c.21).

The Covenanter historian David Calderwood wrote that “the keeping of Yule is a superstitious and unlawful custom, having no warrant from the Word of God” (History of the Kirk of Scotland, vol. 7).

George Gillespie, one of the men who helped write the Westminster Confession, said plainly that festival days devised by men, including Christmas, are contrary to the Second Commandment and have no place in the church (A Dispute Against the English Popish Ceremonies, 1637).

Samuel Rutherford wrote in his letters that he found no command for keeping Christmas in Scripture, and that those who observed it were worshipping God by the inventions of men.

The Puritans held the same view. Thomas Manton wrote that the feast of Christ’s birth has no appointment from Christ and leads only to superstition (Works of Thomas Manton, vol. 2).

John Owen said the observation of days not appointed in the gospel, such as Christmas, is no part of true worship (Works, vol. 13).

Richard Baxter, who was more moderate than most, said he was not persuaded Christmas should be kept as a holy day because it has no command from God (Christian Directory, part 3).

In New England, Increase Mather wrote that Christmas is a superstition borrowed from Rome and unknown to the early church (A Testimony Against Several Prophane and Superstitious Customs, 1687).

Cotton Mather also warned that the way Christmas is celebrated comes from old heathenism, not Scripture, saying that Christ is not honoured by eating, drinking or excess on that day (Christmas an Idol Day, sermon).

England reached the same conclusion. The parliamentary ordinance of 1644 stated that Christmas, having no warrant in Scripture, was not to be observed. The ordinance of 1647 abolished the keeping of Christmas altogether.

This is the real history of Scotland and the Reformation. If we want the nation to stand where the Covenanters stood, we need to recognise that they rejected Christmas not out of stubbornness, but out of obedience to the Word of God.

Scottish history of Christmas

1st–4th century
No Christmas celebration. Early Christians do not observe Christ’s birth as a festival. No record of December 25 in Scotland or anywhere else.

AD 350–400
Roman church officially adopts December 25 as the Nativity feast. This practice spreads slowly through the Western Empire, but Scotland is not Christianised yet.

6th century
Christianity reaches parts of Scotland through Columba and Iona. Still no evidence Christmas was celebrated widely. Early Celtic Christianity focuses on Passover and Resurrection, not Nativity feasts.

8th–10th centuries (Early Medieval Scotland)
As Roman influence increases, Christmas begins appearing in monastic calendars but not as a major public festival. Observance remained minimal.

1100s–1400s (Medieval Scotland)
Christmas becomes recognised in the Catholic liturgical calendar. Yule traditions mix with church feasts. Still mainly a church event, not a national holiday.

1560 – Scottish Reformation
Scotland breaks from Rome. The Reformed Kirk rejects holy days not found in Scripture. Christmas begins its decline.

1575
General Assembly officially declares Christmas (Yule) to be a “superstitious” festival with no biblical authority.

1583
The Kirk warns ministers not to keep Christmas or preach special services on that day.

1640 – Christmas legally abolished
Scottish Parliament passes law ending “superstitious observation of days, especially Yule.”
Scotland becomes one of the few nations in history to outlaw Christmas completely.

1644–1647 (English Civil War)
England joins Scotland in banning Christmas. The two nations now stand together in rejecting the festival.

1660–1688 (Restoration era)
Charles II brings back Christmas in England, but Scotland continues resisting. Christmas never fully returns in this period. Most Scots treat it as a normal working day.

1707 – Union of Parliaments
England keeps Christmas. Scotland still does not. Yule survives only as a cultural winter season, not a religious holy day.

1700s–1800s
Christmas remains mostly ignored in Scotland. Businesses stay open. Schools do not close. Churches treat it as an ordinary day. The Presbyterian tradition remains strong.

1871
Christmas becomes a bank holiday in England, but Scotland refuses to adopt it. This shows how deep the Reformation conviction still ran.

1958
Christmas becomes a public holiday in Scotland for the first time in over 300 years. Even then, many churches still refuse special services.

1974
Boxing Day (26 December) becomes a public holiday in Scotland for the first time.

1990s–2000s
Secular Christmas becomes mainstream. Commercialisation replaces religious meaning. Churches still remain divided on its legitimacy.

2020s–Present
Renewed interest in Scotland’s Reformation roots leads many believers to point out that Christmas is not commanded in Scripture and was historically rejected by the Kirk.
A growing movement within Reformed and Messianic circles seeks to return to biblical festivals rather than Roman or pagan traditions.

Jesus view

Matthew 15:3
“Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?”

Matthew 15:6
“Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.”

Matthew 15:9
“In vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

Mark 7:7–8
“In vain do they worship me… for laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men.”

Mark 7:13
“Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition.”

These were Christ’s strongest rebukes.
Every time Jesus condemned something, it was because men added religious practices God never commanded.

Paul apostle to gentiles view

Colossians 2:8
“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men.”

Colossians 2:22–23
“After the commandments and doctrines of men… which have a show of wisdom, but are will-worship.”

1 Corinthians 4:6
“That you may learn not to go beyond what is written.”

Galatians 1:14
Paul admits he used to follow “the traditions of my fathers,” meaning man-made religion, which he later rejected.

Galatians 4:10–11
“You observe days and months and times and years. I am afraid for you.”
Paul warns them not to invent religious holy days without God’s command.

2 Thessalonians 2:15
Paul commands believers to keep only apostolic tradition, not human tradition.

The early Scottish church understood this to mean:
If God commanded it, keep it.
If God didn’t, do not add it.

Antinomianism comes from the Greek “anti”meaning against and “nomos” meaning law.

It describes anyone who rejects God’s standards, moral law (Torah), or any form of obedience.

In Christianity it refers to those who claim grace removes the need to follow God’s commandments(Torah)

In simple terms, an antinomian is a person who says they’re saved but refuses the Law of God however Scripture does not support that mindset.

Yeshua said if you love Him, you keep His commandments. Paul said faith establishes the Law, not abolishes it.

Rejecting God’s Law (Torah) has a name, it’s antinomianism and it is heresy.

"because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold"
