On Sunday 16th August we all got to share in a very special experience. The baptism of Elspeth Deuchars. This is wasn’t just your normal CofS baptism this was a full immersion baptism in an inflatable baptismal pool in the church!
Elspeth even was brave enough to sing a solo of You are my all in all before her baptism began.

It was a lovely, moving (and exciting day) for all I am sure. Thank you Elspeth for sharing this with us and allowing us all to join in the experience.

This year, as in previous years, the Salvation Army is running a Toy Appeal in the run up to Christmas and are hopefully that we will support them as we have done so enthusiastically in the past. Donations can be handed in to the Salvation Army from the start of November until Monday 14th December. Usually they get lots of donations for young children but struggle with enough gifts for teenagers - toiletries are always very welcome!
If anyone wants to contribute but are unable to deliver directly to the Salvation Army gifts can be brought to St John's on Sunday 13th December and we will deliver them to the Salvation Army.

On Sunday all donations at coffee after the service will be given to aid Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity dear to many of our congregation.
We hope that this venture will be as well supported as it has been in previous years.

If you are unable to come to coffee after the service but would still like to donate please donate via the QR code below or via
