Broken my heart - Someone has stolen the church keys! At some time, early this week, a set of keys were stolen from St Andrew’s Church. Thieves got into the vestry and took an almost complete set of keys.
Firstly, I wanted to warn the community that there are those amongst us making really rubbish decisions. Everyone thinks there’s loads of cash in the church and there isn’t, the silver we have is mainly plate, so of no real value.
Secondly, I wanted to ask the thief if we could have them back please. Changing all those locks, many of which are truly historic, is going to cost us a bomb and I wanted to use that money to start a free breakfast club for the community.
I feel so sad that this has happened probably because I’m a bit too trusting but also I love that we can just have the church open and know that people can use it when they want to and I don’t want that to change.
Please can we have them back - you could post them through the Rectory letter box, please ❤️

Amazing Art Exhibition - what do Priest’s do in the week? Well today I had training in Braintree, then worked with some of the team in the church, office and Rectory, then headed to St Andrew’s Primary School for their art exhibition ❤️ Best time. Staff and students you totally rock. What a brilliant school.
