Earlier today Roy presented Peter with a Good News For Everyone (formerly Gideon's) Large print Bible at Saville Park Nursing Home, Moorfield Street, Halifax. If anyone would like a free New Testament call in at King's Centre and ask for one!

This week was the final Chilli Tuesday of this academic year. The Calderdale College students are mostly into GCSE season, so exams and revision for the next few weeks.

Over 29 weeks we had 1283 visits to Chilli Tuesday! The lowest number of students/staff was 28 and the highest 64.

Each week the students enjoyed good food from The King's Coffee House, games, laptops, chill out area and colouring sheets. Phones were charged, WiFi used and some great music was blasted out! We had a core of 8 volunteers with a few others who dropped in occasionally who made sure the students were welcomed and served with food and brews.

At Christmas each student received a selection box and a book on faith and prayer and at Easter a creme egg. Several students enjoyed temporary tattoos (Jesus Loves Festivals and )

Thanks to all the students and staff who made the 2025/26 Chilli Tuesday season an amazing success and the place to be on Tuesday lunchtimes! Thanks to National Lottery Good Causes and Warm Welcome Campaign who offered funding and CICS - Christians in Calderdale Schools and Calderdale College for helping promote Chilli Tuesday at various College events / on the college app and screens.

An amazing event last night with CICS - Christians in Calderdale Schools hearing about work in schools across the Borough including: mentoring; It's Your Move books for those moving from primary to secondary; lessons around faith for GCSE students; young people running Christian based groups in schools; faith panels; support for staff and Chilli Tuesday!

Last but one Chilli Tuesday for this academic year and welcomed 30 students including several first timers from Calderdale College. Lots of students on revision leave or last day after a 3 year course. We offer a warm welcome, wellbeing with colouring sheets alongside free food and games area.

This week is Mental Health Awareness week. The theme is action. Even small actions can help us feel hopeful and less powerless. And while our individual actions matter, when we come together we are even more powerful.

As a church community we are grateful and pray for those organisations who support people with mental health across our Borough. If you are struggling then do connect with one of them.

Rise Up! Women's Event

Maintaining Joy Through All Circumstances and Across Generations.

Join us for an evening of worship, prayer and to hear Sylvia Wallis, her daughter and granddaughter discuss how to maintain joy across the generations in all circumstances.

Light refreshments will be available.

Cost - no charge. Donations towards refreshments are gratefully accepted on the night.
