📣Just a reminder… there is NO Coffee Drop-In tomorrow!📣

We’re taking a little break from our usual first Saturday and will be back Saturday 12th September, 10am–4pm, for a very special Mayor’s Day Coffee Drop-In, and our biggest one yet!!

👉On Sunday, 6th September, it is our Parish Communion service at 10am. Leading the worship is the Reverend Graham Lindley.

✝️ In the Gospel reading we hear that Jesus teaches us to forgive others generously, just as God forgives us.

🍪☕️ After the service there is coffee and biscuits if you would like to stay. No cakes to sell as the Coffee Drop-in has been moved to the week after on the same day as the Luddenden Mayor Making.

Our usual Coffee Drop-In is NOT happening this Saturday. Instead, we’re joining the celebrations for our new Luddenden Mayor with a very special Mayor’s Day Coffee Drop-In the following week!

📅Saturday 12th September
⏰10am – 4pm
📍St Mary’s Church

And we promise… this is going to be our biggest Coffee Drop-In yet! 🎉

We’ll have a huge selection of homemade cakes and baked goodies, alongside our usual tea, coffee and friendly welcome.

It’s going to be a fantastic day - we can’t wait to see you! ☕🍰

✝️ The reading for the day is from Pauls' letter to the Romans, where he writes: love people honestly, be kind, live in peace, and answer wrong with good instead of revenge.

👉 This afternoon at 4pm there is Festal Choral Evensong as we continue to celebrate St Mary the Blessed Virgin, our Patron Saint.

✝️ Canon Philip Gray will be leading our worship.

🎵We have a small choir of semi-professional singers - Caldereliensis - who will be singing the service which includes music spanning the ages from the 16th century to the 21st century.

🍷🧀 After the service there is cheese and w**e in the churchyard and live music by Adelaide from about 5pm. 🎶

🎶 Everyone is welcome to come to all the services and the live music afterwards in the churchyard. 😊 See less

👉 This Sunday, 16th August it is our Patronal Festival - the closest Sunday to the day the Church celebrates St Mary the Blessed Virgin.

✝️ We are having two celebratory services - a Eucharist at 10am and a Choral Evensong at 4pm. The priest celebrating both services is Canon Philip Gray.

🎵We have a small choir of semi-professional singers to sing at the Evensong - Caldereliensis. The music spans the ages from the 16th century to the 21st century.

🍷🧀 After the service there is cheese and w**e in church and live music in the churchyard by Adelaide from about 5pm. 🎶

👉August looks to be the month for festivals! This Sunday, 9th August, it is our Dedication Festival marking 402 years since the consecration of a church here. The service at 10am is a special Eucharist acknowledging this and it is led by the Reverend Ryan Green.

✝️ In the gospel reading we will hear that Jesus cleansed the Temple in Jerusalem by driving out those who were buying and selling, restoring it as a place of prayer.

🍪☕️ After the service there is coffee and biscuits if you would like to stay.
